I see quite ofthen players in hotjoin that rank below 5 and seem to be extreamly competent and scoring high.

Are they second accounts for experienced players or did they just born as a winner?

Scoring high in hotjoin is nothing difficult, just follow the zerg and spam whatever AoE skills you have to tag people before they die. You could write a bot to do it. Or train a monkey and it’ld probably perform well too.

follow group and use skills that tag as many enemies as possible

These very low rank players beat several 20-30 ranking players and are exceptionally hard to kill. Ofthen they feel like even 30+ and It is surprising to see after match that he/she was 2 or so. I am not good in pvp but with my experience I can pretty reliably recognize at least decade of rank : 1, 10, 20, 30 ….

it is a rare case in which everyone else in your team scored less than 100 points.

yeah that is true i suppose, my point still stands though! i could’ve ran around more and decapped

Rank is a measure of experience, not skill. Some people are just talented to begin with or some do their homework before playing, or some just have really good ganking builds which can get some people, even good players in uncoordinated hotjoins. It’s really up in the air. It could be second accounts as well—who knows.
