so how do you kill ele ?
1) Burn is more or less fine. They can tone it down by 15% and increase by 10% the trait on guardians that increase they’re burn damage, making it perfect.
Another example of category 2.
Burn stacking is NOT fine. It is always funny how the immediately comeback is “use more cleanse”. What a lot of those who use burn stacking don’t want to admit is that it is a lot easier to apply burns than it is to clear them. Even a support guard who does have access to a lot of cleanses can’t keep up.
Negating 100% of the damage would be broken. That’s why burn,confusion and torment are the only decent conditions by themselves.
Make boon hate more comon.

Ele’s main damage is Burning (Celestial anyway).
We need to implement a deminishing Damage the higher the burn stacks go, lets say, after 5 stacks the damage is reduced by 25% per burn stack after, then past 10 50%, etc. Not neccesarily these numbers but some way that stil keeps it viable without making it overpowered by spamming it, yes you guards and engineers.

Is there another way to guarantee some damage? It’s not like you’re in a perfect scenario where your foes is running around like a headless and panicking chicken not doing anything. Guard doesn’t reliably cover, with ele it’s the fields and boons are carrying the spec so it makes sense to bring more reveal skills.

You don’t kill an ele. You should never try that.
You just sit tight, hoping they do not see you, waiting for a whole game rebalance after 3 years (like the last 3 years).
Stuns and boon hate. Lighting 4 isn’t an invuln, the only burst they have is from Fire 3/5 combo. fire 2 is just as dangerous to them as it is to who ever they are aiming it at with such a long cast time you can cc them out of it. I haven’t played thief in over a year, I think sword 2 has a chance steal all their might stacks and is it trickery F1? that can steal it as well.
So, I can’t go into much detail on things quite yet, but I just wanted to reassure you folks that we’re actively discussing a number of issues that are affecting balance in PvP – including, but not limited to elementalist sustain/damage. Per the usual, we’ll be talking to you folks about the changes once we’ve finalized them.

took tcg with a team of 4 elementals to make the dev’s realize all other classes are irrelevant when you can have the sustain of a bunker class, dps of a burst class, mobility of a mobile class all wrapped into one class….. the elemental.

Sword 3/3 combo steals 1 boon (most recent that you get, which makes it almost impossible to steal might when you reapply regen and fury all the time)
2nd is Aegis BT trait in Trickery that steals 2 boons BUT BEFORE YOU GET MIGHT YOU WILL GET:
Aegis
Stability
Protection
Regeneration
Retaliation
Fury
Swiftness
so no might for thief there.

And the last thing/ You played thief 1 year ago and i doubt that you saw ANY thiefs with Sword since then… Its funny when ppl have to actually learn other classes to know how to counter them, and others just have to play ele and spam thief fire spels…
