so when they gonna take care of all the hacking going on in spvp? its like for every one u report i see 3-4 more everyday in spvp with the teleport hacking all day

Teleport hacking? I PvP a lot and have not seen this at all. You sure it’s not just Lightning Flash from eles or blink and teleport from mesmers?

no i see it alot with rangers and warriors in spvp and i seen the same user hacking still after reporting him mutliple times a, ranger.

he could have been lagging, if someone has lag they’ll appear to “blink” from one spot to another rather than run.
also as stated thieves/mesmers/eles/necros can all teleport legit

for the ranger a possible explanation could be this trait:
Hide in Plain Sight
Applies camouflage when you are dazed, knocked down, launched, pushed back, or stunned. This effect cannot trigger more than once every 30 seconds.

Notes
The stealth effect lasts for 3 seconds.

I got accused of hacking a few weeks back.

I’m not saying that hacking isn’t happening, I’m sure it is. But be careful what you accuse others of. The person who accused me seemed convinced I was doing something since I’d dodge, dodge, burning retreat dodge, attunement swap with sigil of energy, dodge again, all the while whilst having vigor up for more dodges combined with my lightning flash reduced cooldown. They could not get their head around it, apparently recorded me, was going to report me for teleporting all over the place yada yada yada…

This is happening pretty often in these days.

A thief can teleport all over the place in nifhel, BUT SURELY CAN’T from floor to roof at keep ( because you need to actually be able to go by feet there, that’s how shadowsteps work).

In free tourneys, it’s becoming standard.

I wouldn’t say I’ve seen loads. Acctually I encountered my first hacker in sPvP yesterday. And he wasn’t using teleport hack he used speed hack. And I’m pretty sure the people you’ve seen used the same. Teleport hack in sPvP would be pretty useless. However using speed hack doesn’t make your character run really fast (or well it does but not on the observers screen) but it makes it look like he lagg and moves really fast. Now I’d post a link showing y’all the diffrence between speed and teleport hack on Guild Wars 2 but I’m not sure Anet would like it. So just go search for it on youtube or something. Loads of vid’s of people hacking there.

Anyone with a blink or port can do it. Thiefs, mesmes, ele, necro. Ports of this nature are actually pretty commoon on all three maps. Idk know if it they consider it to be an exploit…
But you can definately port places you cant quick path to in alot of cases.

watch jumper play his thief, he shortbow 5s to lots of places you can’t normally path to

You can with any teleport. There’s a spot. A tiny little spot.

And I’ve encountered strange situations where a class without teleport (rangers, warriors, engis) would just instantly appear in a safe place, or behind me out of nowhere. Right when I CC them and am about to burst. Weird.
Sudden lag spike or Hack? can’t know for sure.

Anyway position in space and mouvement SHOULD NOT BE traited client-side.

Guild wars 2 is the only game where lagging gives you an advantage: You can see the enemy moving but he cannot.

Oh I realise this, I use lightning flash to get from the bottom of henge to the top of henge, from clocktower capture point to clocktower windows etc etc, I just can’t manage the keep floor to keep ledges o.0

I got accused of hacking for being “too strong” with 100nades. Point is, get video of what you are saying so we can at least see what you’re talking about. There are too many possibilities to just blatantly claim someone is hacking and report them.

im not talking about lag im talking about perma blinking from one node to the next in 2 sec, was fighting this warrior last night as the mine almost killed him then he perma blinked to the keep in 5-6 blinks thats not lag thats hacking

again im not talking about 1-2 blinks i know the skills im talking about like a"blink" thats gets used 5imes in 1-2sec to go from node to node or avoid dying. i would post a vid of wut im talking about but last time i did it got removed so no point.

it seems you don’t understand what i’m saying.

i’ve seen thieves teleporting from KEEP FLOOR to KEEP LEDGE ( the one where usually necros spam death) with IA.

I’m a thief myself and i’m not able to replicate it.

And even if i could, it should be fixed ASAP because it’s very different from normal z-axis shadowsteps, where you usually can go by feet with some more effort: in this case, you need to travel HALF MAP and pick a totally different way to go there, giving the thief a ridicolous positioning advantage.

And also i’ve never seen jumper do it, and i watch his stream from time to time ( mostly due to boredom, surely not because i consider him a top player, mostly due to the fact that there’s no way to understand if he’s a top player or not without ladders, but indeed he’s very ackowledged about the thief).

Ladders don’t make someone a top player either, it just makes them the top of the ladder.

Ladders are a very high proxy for skill.

No. An elo ladder doesnt just measure quantity of games, because if you lose, you go down the ladder.

Someone with 40 wins 0 losses will be ranked way higher than someone with 200 wins 180 losses.
Unless those losses are old and hes gotten better and won like 70 games in a row or soemthing.

This guardian is combo’ing Sword 2 ‘Flashing Blade’ and the Utility skill ’Judge’s Intervention’.

There is no “teleport hack”. You just need to broaden your understanding of what people are capable of in this game. You’ll get there.

Edit: I figured I should probably clarify – Both of those skills will teleport you their max distance without the target being in range, so it looks like they are just teleporting 600-900 range in front of them.

Also, Flashing Blade is only a 10 second cool down, thats why they do it so often.

Guards have a tele too iirc.

In fact it’s not hacking, you can do it with every teleport that has 900range or more. YOu have to stand at the right point for it to work though, oh btw, you can jump there too if you are coming from the blue side, so the only advantage teleport classes have is that tehy can get there faster, and i think we all agree that tahts the point of teleports

The point is they need to remove that “Only certain classes with teleports can get to this terrain crap”

You want to make an E-Sport? That’s exactly NOT how to do it. That is the worst game balance I’ve seen in a long time. Only places you have a walking path to should be able to be ported to. And I don’t mean just because you can run around a sprialing staircase. I mean a direct walking path so all the teleport is doing is basically making you walk really fast to that location.

Otherwise you have an unbalanced game and another reason no one plays it competitively. GG Fix your game.

that’s definitely not what’s happening there. that’s a bot most certainly. the skills you listed don’t have that range and also that’s the only movement made. no wasd movement, just the small jump and the large mob jump.

Blink and lightning flash works as SB #5 I have tested it as an ele and my mesmer too.
