Let me first introduce my self,
I play only spvp solo q after 1000 hot join matches i decided i have some level of knowledge and skill to play team fights and solo q.
Im an average player not highly skilled but i mange to hoover on 50 win /los rate and i play all 8 classes .
Now i have more les 2.5 k matches played and i feel competent suggest what needs to be fixed in solo q for it to be competitive and fun for all kinds of players,beginners average and i think even highly skilled player might be satisfied with these suggestions.

1.Solo q needs rank tiers,
meaning taht you can not ever be qued with team and opponent team members in a rank difference more or less 10 ranks.
this will make new players play with their own lvl experience and higher ranked ppl will have challenge in other team .

I was qed in a few matches with team set up
2×40ish2x50+ rank and 1 rank 30player
against lvl 1. 4. 7. 27 and me 42
.( i was tempted to try loto ticket with this but then its a losing combination)
we lost 9-500
Not a fun match for our team and not for this rank 50 player i guess.

2.
90% of players dont want to change class!
This is rule for solo q only where ppl come to play their favorite class and what you get is team composition of 4 thiefs and memser against -5 wr or 3 guards and necros and so on.
In a game where objective is to hold points team with 2 bunkers will have higher chance to win.
So solution is to have team matched in average stat points,so that opposing teams will have if possible equal power,condition dmg and so on…

If this is to hard to implement ,waiting room with 10-15 players should be created where you can choose team composition and speak with players before you are dragged in to the map.

This would also solve afk leaver problems.

3.If i want to leave match Q i need to be in heart of the mists and speak with npc,
im not always willing to sit and wait 10 min doing nothing in mists and when i get called i want to refuse match entirely but im unable to do so,so some players just stay afk.

4. if i block player for what ever reason ,being rude,afk or simply is bad player with whom i dont want to play or speak i shouldn’t be in same team with this player
(this is just my personal wish to be implemented wouldn’t fix anything crucial)

5 .different objectives and game modes
As ai said before this tipe of play(capturing points requires teams to have 2 bunkers and is promoting bunker builds,simply cause uyou are fighting for time)

And just a little not on class balance

I think that most classes have options to choose different trait lines and be successful in what they do ,worst imho is ele where u have 2 builds only capable of competitive play.
In addition to this i think all dmg should be tuned down 20% and condition dmg even more and bring up combo field effects for the same amount.
Thsi should promote more team play .

GL and HF all hope something get fixed soon.

Build templatea and level 1 of all classes then we get to pick class and if somebody its afk it kicks us if not we keep playing and only 1 class per team omg LOL Style yessss

I admire the effort you put into this, and agree that the system needs work, but what you suggest isn’t really feasible.

1) Rank is no indication of skill. Skyhammer Farmers completely obliterated the last bit of legitimacy of the rank system. I’ll take a rank 15 that earned it over a skyhammer hero any day. The que times for rank 50+ would be unbearable if your proposition were to be adopted, and it would push people away from a game that needs to hang onto the remaining population.

2) Matching stat points isn’t really a strong way to balance comps. For instance, a guardian may wind up with a Few hundred points in condition damage, but if they build in that tree it is probably for the precision (since they are terrible at every non-burning condition). They are trying to fix the matchmaking algorithm to have more balanced teams (probably based on hidden rating). This will improve things dramatically.

3) You can leave que from the PvP interface (click the UI icon in the upper left of your screen, go to arena tab and leave que).

4) I would like this too, but the unintended consequence is that people would abuse it to stack teams in solo que. The last thing the ladder needs is another exploit.

5) New game modes are confirmed to be in the works. “soon”

RE: Balance… Whole other topic. Too much to get into here. It isn’t necessarily that balance is bad or way out of line, but more an issue of what is balanced to be optimal for a given profession and the very limited build diversity.
