1. your ranks do not update. currently it still says it will next update at 5:25 PM pacific which was almost 3 hours ago. This happens all the time.

2. win streak means AFK and d/c’ing players. when someone does not even show up to the match at all and its a 4v5 the whole time, what consideration does that have into the ranks awarded or lost for that match?

3. skyhammer. this map is 60% skill and 40% build. the other maps are more like 80%+ skill. why does this wild card ruin it?

4. no point in rank. high rank or ladderboard offers zero rewards in any way. why can’t we have rewards for achieving certain ranks on the ladder?

5. class composition. really you gonna keep giving me 3 thieves or 3 rangers on my team? you claim class balance yet wont factor it into matchmaking in the least bit!?

6. lack of any answers to any of our issues in any way. address concerns or dig the grave, there is no middle ground.

i am honestly rather curious how does 4v5 even happen…i had plenty of games where 5th person never appeared from begin with….

how is it possible?

People disconnect or quit after they have a match. And Anet tracks that. And they don’t factor it into ratings of the match. And they don’t make any attempt to pull someone else in that was in queue. It’s just terrible planning.

All of these faults are symptoms of a F2P game that will never amount to kitten compared to a game with a monthly subscription where satisfaction is #1 over cheap thrills.

I don’t understand how I’ve had 40 or more matches with 4v5 but i’ve had maybe 5-10 matches with 5v4. Whatever is kittened up is not my problem to fix though and I will pay the next monthly fee game that has PvP over this carrot chaser nonsense.

I will say it is the best available at the moment and HAD potential.

1. Gw2 is buy to play not free to play.
2. Game with monthly sub is almost always aimed towards lengthening the amount of time a consumer has to spend to achieve something he wants. For example in wow there were instances that lock for some time, gear grinding to pvp, etc. All simple mechanism to prevent you getting something too fast, thus increasing the chance of stopping to pay sub fee every month. Also basing your reward system on skinner box does help allot.
3. Back on topic: I have no idea how anet cant just copy/paste the ready system from any other game that is currently in the market (cs:go, lol, dota2, etc.). I got back to gw2 after a month and from first 5 matches only 1 was 5×5 all the others were lost at start…

This is why I am looking forward to the switch from a leaderboard, with which honestly in our goldstart/silverstar/bronzestar/checkplus/check/checkminus society should not have ever even been implemented, to leagues or ladders.

I mean, in this industry it is not uncommon to cherrypick the best ideas from other games and use them in your fashion…..no popular online competitive game uses leaderboards….not a one
