state of the ele
answers in order:
Condi ele not viable.
Ele defense still decent.
Ele always best in a team fight.
Warhorn not viable.
Condi ele isnt playable.
Ele defence is viable only with auramancer healbot build.
See p.2., healbot = team based play.
Nope, not viable.
If you go anything outside auramancer build, you are squishy as hell.
So generaly the state of ele is the same as before patch.
i really try to test the new ele buff with glyps and signet but as you mention above even with sage amulet unplayable
in wvw condi ele is nice thing with it 8k dps on npc and 2-3k dps on players
but still cant play roamer
i still havent give up on warhorn as it has nice combinations with dagger and other utilities

I’m so confused :‘( i play with sage’s amulet and loving it, i do great damage and condi damage my defense is always kick kitten and as said amazing in team fights but but I use warhorn as i love it xD but there is reason there is a meta… (so the lazy people don’t have to come up with a build that works) XD
Bah the class isn’t fun to play anymore for me.
I mean it’s not just about numbers, it’s the gameplay variety that is gone.
My only fun in pvp was creating builds that would surprise people and learning to master them. Since this is gone I have no more incentive to play this game.
Basically if it wasn’t for focus #4 and 5 in earth, I think WH could get a solid look for a condition build. I too am having a lot of fun with an earth/water/tempest sage build. Really wanted WH to work but focus is just too strong not to take.
Also, even if WH was on par with Focus, just the mere fact that sage provides about half the healing power of mender would make it less viable than the mender meta build.
It’s fine to have this kind of team support but it’s not fun and hasn’t been since the release of HoT.

Sounds like you wouldn’t enjoy any game that’s been out for a while. A meta develops because people find what works the best and stick to it, and that’s by no means something that’s whatsoever exclusive to Guild Wars 2. It’s something that occurs in PvE and PvP in games everywhere. It all boils down to a little something called progress.
