It would be nice to bring back /resign like there was in gw1.

I only bring this up because today I have had a few 4v5’s and it would be great if we could just /resign like in gw1 and get on with our lives.

What are peoples thoughts?
What about on the winning teams end?
If a player does not score a kill or capture or anything for that matter, are they out of any real points or progression?

Should there be a time limit before one can use the /resign command?

I think /resign should be a full lost regardless of 4v5, 3v5, etc.

It should be enabled after the first 7m of play.

They should bring some kind of individual resign option as well. Just lost a game when 2 ppl went afk at crucial moment. After that match was lost but additional minutes of my time wasted cause i cant resign and i sure as hell not gonna sit on a base afk when im there to fight a match.

The alt + F4 isnt viable since it doesnt throw you out of match instantly and even if it did you have the inconvenience of starting client again and going through 2 login screens and waiting to load.

Enable it after certain factors: time in game, certain point disparity (when its 300-100 you know you can’t win, you should be able to tap out and let everyone just get on with a new game), count it as a loss for the losing team and only reward partial points for the winning team.
I would also really consider having this work on an individual basis or a majority vote so one person can’t hold the entire match hostage when everyone else on his team wants to concede.
I have been meaning to bring this up for a while, it would lower the frustration for bad matches if you weren’t forced to play out those painful games where you’re clearly outmatched and just have to bend over and take it till the end.

I think that this would be a great thing to implement into the game. Winning team would obviously get full rewards just like a win. If a player on the team has no points then he or she would not receive any reward just like it is now.

As for a time limit I think the 5 minute mark would be a perfect time limit for this to work. or if you lose a player on the team anytime you can resign.

Implementing this would of course be interesting. It would have to be done for Ranked and Unranked but not for hotjoin or customs just to eliminate the “exploiting” that would go on.

It is very frustrating when you are playing ranked and the match starts and you are already at a disadvantage of a 4v5. Then you have to sit there and play till the time ends. Granted sometimes you can win a 4v5.

On the one hand yes I want this but on the other you have to be careful to set conditions for it or else people are going to use it for trolling and win trading
