Not a clue if someone already posted this and I’m too lazy to go back any farther than a couple of pages, but it would be beneficial to have basic settings in ranked pvp. I mean bare basic, like preferred language. That setting/option is in custom matches, so why not ranked as well? I would help the frustrated players that get teamed up with someone that speaks/types a whole other language and you can’t come up with a tactical plan cause no one knows what the other is saying and most cases it’s a pitiful lost for them. Otherwise, it would be awesome if there was a chat translator. Just something so that everyone is on the same playing field of language.

I’m sure other people can add in their suggestions, but being able to select to play with others of your natural language would be a huge help to teams that are trying to strategize.

How would game know which language i speak? Not to mention are you willing to sit in 2 hours queues because game can’t find another 4 catalonians?

Also, if language settings were taken in account by the MM, high rated players could abuse (pick mandarin) it to always end up together thus forming 5 man premades for easy wins.

Chat translators are just programs, they can’t reliably translate whatever humans say not to mention, the moment ppl start to use slang (which is usually the case), those translators are useless. Also, they would cost money for Anet.

I have better suggestion: how about learning English? I think every person nowadays should be able to speak some English. It is not like you need to know much, things like “war go home” , “3 mid” is sufficient.
