Hey everyone ! Our group has had a couple people go inactive in the last month and we’re looking to replace them and establish a more serious core team. Some basic requirements:
-r35+ with 250+ tournaments played minimum (most of us are 40+ almost entirely from tournys)
-competitive attitude. play to have fun but play to win
-mature
-vent + mic + communicates well
-active: we play 4-6 nights a week sometime around 7pm – 2am eastern

-we’re primarily looking for a mesmer and a bunker guard, but open to tryout some others. Message me on the forums or mail me in game >ign Chiggs X<

Not to be rude Chiggs but you should be taking anybody that isn’t a total newb that shows some skill. Most people hit there skill caps on a class probably around rank 20 or 90%+ of it. Also, I have seen you around in plenty of tournaments and I don’t remember losing more then half the time at most and I solo queue 75% or more. You’ll be much more successful casting a wider net and putting down more realistics guidelines. Most of the high rank people left this game.

That was rude. Not to call you out or anything. Its his team and he should set his own criteria.

Further, at rank 25 you still have a long way to go in terms of approaching skill cap if you play one of the more complex professions with any build diversity.

@ kwll – no offense taken, i’m sorry i haven’t impressed. I feel that my team is past the point of “taking anybody that isn’t a total newb” and while I agree rank is not a direct indicator of skill, it shows experience. I’ve seen plenty of r15-25 people play very well on a class but imo the mastery of a class, and the little tricks picked up through experience, are learned much later. Also game type mechanics/rotations/learning other professions etc etc… Anyway, thanks for feedback and gl with solo ques !

You can reach rank 20-30 pretty easily if you put in the time. It is after that where hours equal notible experience. Strategies for maps and fighting specific professions, is crucial, and just as important as knowing your own class. I have been input with other players around 20 and 30 that still do not engage or disengage properly, they do not keep an eye on the mini map, or know when to peal. You cannot gain instinct through glory.

awww man this is prolly the lowest rank mimimum ive seen and its STILL 2 above me. am i really tht noobish? on the plus side i have 765 tourneys played. oh well :P

This is a good bunch of guys. And more importantly an active guild that already makes premades a few nights each week.

How is this even remotely relevant to the topic? Most of us have the majority of our tournaments wins from Paid Tournaments before you could solo queue for them.

Just trying to somewhat reduce the amount of super serial premades joining random queues. Not gonna matter much until Anet finally get off their horse and split the arenas though, so yea. Knock yourself out..I guess?
