Thief/Guard/Ele/X/X

the game has become extremely stale when it is the same combo of professions and the same strats each time.

From what im seeing in paids, it’s usually
Mesmer, Guardian, Staff Ele/x/x
last 2 is usually engi or a necro
and then thief or warrior

Correct the title to “tPvP Trinity” because you were off by about 8 thieves if you are talking sPvP.

Well, Anet just labels it under PvP as well as this is the s PvP forum and seeing as how I had 5 slots there is no room for questioning. I did change it though as I repeatedly forget how kitten people are at times.

in a trinity wouldnt one of the remaining two counter the third?

I cant kill a thief on my guardian and guardians kill my elementalist with ease.
best i can do is stalemate a thief on my guardian… and knockdown + run away + teleport away from a thief (if I live that long) on my elementalist.

My guard cant kill an ele…. and ele takes 5 times as long to kill my guard as a thief does…. litterally.

how is this a trinity?

and where do mezmers fit into this? I cant kill a mezmer on either my thief OR my ele….. and if so plz tell me the spec!!!!

tpvp trinity wtf ? 5 thieves , spam heartseeker 2 , u don’t even need to put some traits.

I’m sorry, any team without a hammer warrior is missing out. They have insane AoE stuns/knockdowns, and they get +50% crit and +20% damage against anything stunned or knocked down. So they get crazy AoE damage and control. Best class/spec in the game for wrecking thieves. I’d put the two hammer warriors in my guild against 4-5 thieves, and bet on the warriors.

Thieves aren’t gods, they’re just tricky to counter.

are you trollin’ or what dacromir a warrior with a 2h hammer lol ? if you get hit by that you definitely need to buy a new pair of hands.

Hammer warriors are amazing. I rolled one for a bit and continuously locked people out of battle.

my granny is amazing too when she makes me some pies.

I notice, Mesmer / Guard / Ele / normally Theif / 2nd Guard or Warrior
Mesmers aren’t about being killed, they are the for the portal kitten Your whole team to zerg 2 points, while the other team has 2 defenders at each.

I also notice the class change that happens every second match.
I’m going to get my team to make eles.
Then at the last second swap 4 to different classes.
