Guild Wars 2

Is there a setting for ‘when i hit a target, lock onto them’. The setting for ‘promote targets when you hit them’ isn’t doing this. Is the only way to acquire a target by pressing T, getting closest target, or clicking them?

With tab you can normally go next target.
Otherwise you can use auto target on the options (but suck when you fight more than one enemy)
Put target on enemy CTRL+ Left click and then just press T.

Also you can use 1 option that will allow to use attacks (that need a target) when you swap targets.

There is no option on hitting something and auto attack it would make no sense. People that are stealthed would be attacked during that what would ruin the entire game.
