We want to discuss the murky bs they call the balance process at A-net and how it appears they let a few top players influence there balance decisions unduly. How certain things never/take forever to be addressed and how a pretty innocent looking amulet gets canned after a week.
Minstrel amulet spent all its stat points in defensive stats. It would be similar to adding Nomad to PvP. Tanky builds could stay alive forever and stalemate matches. That’s why it was removed.

So? Thats not any problem, there are few solutions:
→ Give much more points for kills.
→ Give more points for additional objectives.
→ Let node be capped even when defender is alive if you outnumber him.
→ Reduce timer.

Um, the stalemate problem was in Conquest. You’d have a bunker from each team on a node with minstrels, keeping the node neutral for extended periods of time. Games ran to timer and no one was near 500.

Wrong. Conquest is casual mode since launch, which barely has any viewers. I haven’t seen any tournament with more views than Minecraft streams or Goat Simulator streams, so I guess it has to be casual.
Also there aren’t any competitive teams. I may be wrong, but when I last time tracked CQ (before Stronghold was announced), then NA had only one winning team, which is proof that there is no competition at all.
Edit: I think its right time to Anet to abandon CQ and leave this fail mode which always has ‘not fun to play’ meta, because of its own horrible flaws.
