warrior rant, damage rant, pvp rant, ele rant
Gotta say, as an ‘OP’ PU shatter mes, I hate to go up against guardians after the burst nerf: burn is dangerous, bunker leads to stalemate. And rampaging Wars are still kitten dangerous to squishies.
condi removal for no other class revolves around the class mechanic why does warriors?
What about Thief?

Attunments are like skills with cooldown and have no other requirements for activation.
Also, ele has Cantrips with good traits for them.
Well, looking at specific class mechanic system, Warrior is in the worst position here.

Warriors are definitely fine and can still use celestial. Just stop mindlessly play that GS/hammer maraudeur build and try other things.
thief can heal and clear condi just with a trait tied into a big part of what thief do which is stealth (another main mechanic for thief)
a thief can stealth and clear more condi’s than a warrior that has to build up bars and expend them, war must land a burst move or run the must needed Longbow to deal with that problem, and most professions are not the specific with circumstances as far as clearing condi’s other than war

conditions do less damage, the toughness is what zerk warriors prepatch had, your power is lower, vit is the same as prepatch (if you went 2 into tactics)
so in all cele now (post patch )give them the toughness they lost, vit they lost the condition scaling is different so they lose damage over all… simple fix just give heavy classes the toughness they lost end of story

What do shouts have to do with his comparison of meta build capabilities between the given two professions?

cant trait for wars to cleanse candi’s with shouts you have to use a rune for it and on top of that if you arent traited for shouts its not worth it anyway

I bet you’ve not even tried it because cele warrior actually does kittened condi damage.
EDIT : The overall damage really actually. Cele warrior deals more damage than it did, you just have to change your build and not tried to run something that’s as close as the previously infamous shoutbow build as possible.
And I have no problem with condi without even using cleansing Ire.

I don’t recall complaining about meta capabilities, just the fact that there’s other options. You can get Shake It Off and Shrug It Off along with the Rune Set and that’s 4 shouts every 25 seconds. Or One Condition every 6 seconds in an AoE to 5 allies. Outside of that, there’s Berserker Stance and then Resistance from Healing Signet. You might also include Brawler’s Recovery in the mandatory Discipline line that people take for Fast Hands. On top of all that, there’s Cleansing Ire for another 3 Conditions every 15 – 20 seconds max.
Warrior is completly fine with its condition removal, even outside of using Cleansing Ire.
Are they seriously comparing warrior condition removal to thief?
Here is how condition builds deal with thief: Fire and forget and dance for the next 5 seconds. Then use either auto attack or some form of spammable AoE to locate that downed thief and finish them off or take note of the multiple numbers that are ticking across the map because said thief ran for their dear life.
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”

Burst skill has one single requirement to activate – it must land on something and deal at least 0 crit/noncrit damage.
Thief has great access to stealth so precisely, overall condition removal isn’t that much of an issue.
Hence, thief pretty much has the best condition removal system.
But that applies to skilled ones only and most of the builds.
Also, no need to talk about War’s shoutbow because it’s the only Warrior’s build with safe-skill-use Condition removal.

1 cant use shouts and stances together we get 3 utilities (didnt know we could us more at a time when did that happen)
2 taking the rune for shouts lowers your dps and barely helps you survive
3 resistance from heal sig? 2k heal 6s resistance no heal for 20s hmmm
4 fast hands? mes had Illusionary Persona which was a grand master trait and its now baseline, fast hands is still a minor
your points are invalid

Warrior can clean conditions with:
-Stance that completly make him Immune to conditions
-Signet that give Resistance
-F1 traited
- swap weapon (every 5 sec) trait
- shuts
-warhorn
and banner have a perfect trait that give you perma-regen.
Warrios is still a good class

Oh, I’m honored!
You’re really cute, Tao. You make me shy ^-^
:-p
Anyway, if the problem is that you die against a condition damage class with a warrior, there’s 3 reasons:
You have a build weak against condition class, your enemy is better than you, you’re not good enough.
Burn is one of the first conditions that you will clean when you active a condi-clean skill, then if you have healing signet, berserker stance, cleansing ire and brawler’s recovery you’re good enough to clean conditions on your enemy or be immune/resistant to them. Defence and Discipline traitlines can be use dy almost all builds that you want do, Healing Signet is the more used healing skill of warrior and more or less every warrior use Berserker Stance, that give you also 3 bars of adrenaline.
More or less, hte Warrior is the best class to clean conditions!
3 every 8-9 sec with the F1, 1 every 5 sec with the weapons swap, 8 sec of immunity to conditions and 6 sec of Resistante (not every warriors chose to active it, but if they do they have a very good chance to kill condition classes, expecially the one that “burst” with burn like the guardian, that take a little to be able to stack a lot of burn again).
If you want you can also became a tank and use shouts and warhorn, with the old shoutbow, but with the actual meta a gs/hammer is better for damage and CC support.
If you want to be a little more good against condiitons you can chose to use marauder instead of berserker or at last Barbarian, but you lose a lot of damage.
The warrior is the class that have more skills/traits of all to clean/immune/resist conditions.
If a burn ele kill you it’s why it’s a good player or why you’re with the wrong build.
I main a guardian and I can kill easy the ele burn with only 3 condition clean, with 16 cd that remove 1 condition, 20 sec that remove 2 condition and a choice between 28 sec x 3 condition or 48 sec for all condition converted into boon. When I play warrior i’ve not all that problems against a condition class why all of that condi clear skills.
Guardian and Warrior actually can deal more or less the same damage (guardian can do a little better sometimes, but if you mix well bullrush/earthshaker with 100Blades, whirl and rush you’r damage is very high.
Actually a good warrior can kill a large amount of classes and builds.
I laughed at the thought of someone walking over ring of fire multiple times and asking for nerfs haha
Ele is in a good place, it counters people and has counters… At the moment it’s crushing fotm classes (besides mesmer), but looks like necro boon conversion builds or celestial signant builds are starting to rise to new fotm, which easily beats an ele the moment they leave water.
….. And Elementalist.

Don’t forget the fact that Celestial Signet Necromancer also eats Cleric Bunker Guardian alive.

No, ele is definitely not in a good place, you have to actually be blind to not realize it’s too strong.
“It has counters” yeah, signet necro has a good matchup against it if the necro plays really good. That’s about it.

I see good Mesmers beat good Elementalists all the time too.
Warrior needs a slight damage nerf to rampage and a slight buff to it’s natural weapon skills & trait arrangements.

Yeah, let’s buff power damage formula for warrior’s weapon skills, so it’ll be easier to go 1v5.

No, what he said is right, what warrior needs is a buff over all to sustainability and damage. AND a NERF to endure pain and rampage.
The entirety of warrior play is reduced to whether or not he can burst down you before his 3 “i win CDs” are burned.
