Everybody used to think eles were, but with two being used in the finals of the tournament that’s probably not true. Not to mention ele is easier to play and more effective than war. I have around a third as many ele games as warrior games and my stats are always better on ele. Anybody getting “stunlocked” by war is a noob that doesn’t know how to play against them. The absolute only thing they have is their hard to boonstrip invulns, but meta duels AND meta teamfights last longer than that.

I actually think that with more eles in esl, condi war is more useful. The single target cc spam is absolute murder on eles and condi wars have little to fear from necros and condi mes. It’s guard and thf that i see little place for in current meta.

Well you’re completely wrong. Condi war wasn’t used a single time in the entire tournament save prelims and they lost hard there and there were eles/necros every match. If you dodge their skill basher then they are deadweight as condi, yes even bow builds.

Guards AT LEAST won a lot in prelims and theif was at least used in the actual tournament. Warrior was destroyed in prelims and dropped.

Yo, captain obvious, i know wars were hardly used in wts. I am saying that as a response to wts we might see more condi wars at that level since support ele proved to be very good for keeping the necro alive rather than relying on rez bot engi.

You can’t just use one tournament to judge the profession balance.
Warrior shined a lot in proleague season 2 final.
In the more recent world championship final, the composition revolves around how to make the best out of necro’s superior fire power. So it gets hard for warrior to find a place.
But meta shifts, I won’t be surprised if ppl can come up with composition that makes use of a warrior.

Why? Wars are worse at damage than necros by far. Necros can nullify weak condiclear at a ranged aoe while dropping huge dmg. Wars are cqc physical damage if your enemy can’t get rid of cc, which they can.

I feel bad I thought warrior would be top tier but recently, I have noticed they are out shined my many other classes including thief. Top tier thief will likely win vs top tier warrior. Over time they made some little changes to thief evades that were subtle and it is begging to show its strength.
