we are not in beta mode anymore
Yeah , the worst part of balancing in this game is the fact that they refuse to admit when they have made a mistake and overbuffed something. Instead of fixing the mistake they have to invent a new op mechanic as a counter to a different profession.
Or they infamous ‘we want the meta to settle’ , enjoy the hammer to the face every 7 seconds for 5 months before we get a clue.
The patch on the 10th is going to shake things up a lot. I don’t think it’s wise to get worked up until we see what happens.
Remember that not too long ago, the forums were saying the same things—only it was that warriors and necros needed huge buffs, and eles that needed huge nerfs. The forums were always so mad when another patch passed and warriors only received minor buffs. We kept saying that Anet needed to just hurry up and make a huge change. And then they did.

2 different groups complaining here.
Pre buff: warrior and necro mains demanding buffs.
Post buff: everyone else demanding nerfs.

Maybe. There aren’t very many people saying Anet needs to “hurry up” or “hotfix” warrior/necro though, I’d say about the same number of people who felt Anet needed to “hotfix” eles back when they were dominant.
I’m not against balance changes, but I am against getting worked up and lobbying for bigger nerfs/buffs than are necessary. I used warriors/necros/eles as examples because all of them have suffered from either over-buffing or witch hunts/overnerfing.
Necros don’t need a nerf. Warriors are getting nerfed.
If you think this game is bad, go play another MMO and see how bad their balance it. This game’s PvP is incredible compared to every other MMO PvP out there. You can’t argue against that.
You are complaining about balance because you don’t know what you’re talking about. You just say “necro needs nerf” or “warrior needs nerf” and have no facts to back it up. Warriors ARE getting nerfed. Necros already got nerfed. So did spirit rangers. Balance is getting there.
I used to run the Academy Gaming tournaments for GW2.

You are right – really. I know your are right – but the point which kitten me is I have to play the beta test for all this changes. And i dont wanna beta test all this things. They have Proffesionals for this. They get paid fot this and what ever.
I could agree with hey this 1-3 days or whatever is a test could you please help us?
But maaaan they ask there consumers not even to be a PAID beta tester. They dont even give the game to us they force us to be a kitten beta tester and they really think we should have fun in this MONTHS.
THIS is what really anoy me
they just do it for MONTHs
atleast it feels like

The only issue isn’t the “shaving” approach to balancing, is merely the frequency of balancing.
Its o.k. if you slowly fix warriors by making a few changes every couple of weeks (shave 5-10% hp/s from healing signet, change hammer damage, move 1 trait here or there, etc.) That is slow and steady, and less frustrating b/c players can see it is being normalized and know they don’t want to over-react again and make new problems.
Unfortunately, Anet is trying to do major-ish changes every 5-6 months, with mostly bug-fixes in-between.
Solution: Major changes very infrequently, and minor tweaks ever 2 weeks to stop anything from getting out of hand.
As mentioned earlier, the only other issue is that when they DO make a mistake and go too far (like the CD on RtL after also changing the range), they do refuse to undo any of those mistakes. Instead, they like to be “clever” and fix the problem in an entirely roundabout way that only causes more problems to surface.

biggest + point they could make (atleast from me ) would be when they would stop to trie to counter clearly OP mechanics with other op mechanics.
How they did with overbuffing Necro and dont adress the Necro Problem but give warrior tools to counter this Opness. Worsed thing ever they did and there are some others too.
But the Problem is me the Comsumer is forced to have to play this for MONTHS and i dont wanna test this ideas from arenanet – i buyd the product and i wanna play the product
I know all you guys want a lot of things in Pvp to get fixed class-wise and all these “broken mechanics” that you keep complaining about, but you’re looking at Pvp as if it’s completely separate from GW2 entirely…When you say that Anet “hasn’t done anything to fix this or that. this is still broken OP etc” its so ignorant. I know you wish Anet would spend more time on the Pvp, so do I, but they’ve added so much content and improved the game overall, fixing tons of bugged events in Pve and dungeons, etc. And it’s completely okay if you just play Pve or only Pvp. there’s nothing wrong with that. But I hope you realize that there’s so much more important content/value to the game than just Pvp that Anet is working with to keep the game fun, interesting, challenging and changing/dynamic etc etc…
