I like it! Gives more incentive to PvP and gives PvP only players the ability to be rewarded monetarily for their success.
You want to have potatoes with lot of money in legend? You want them on your team?

What they should do is to put better carrots for reaching/farming tiers in higher divisions.
Also, the quality of matches needs to be better. Why even continue to queue when you reached legend? Matches are usually very one sided and unfun. Rewards are very poor in comparison to say mindlessly farming fractals.

pip reward system would mean pvp is where you can actually NOT receive reward for your effort, because you have a high chance of LOSING pips.
only an idiot would think pvp can make more money than pve
and if you’re unable to carry through potatoes then you’re probably haven’t realized you’re one of them anyways
some people play pvp for fun, reaching legend just happens along the way

you’re still speaking it as a farm
i’m saying it’s extra for the season, and it’s also in a incentive for people to continue playing which should help reduce que times
@Cynz the issue you are talking about is not an issue with darres’ suggestion. It is an issue with how things are working right now…. You are discounting this idea because of long queue times for legendary player ATM…. But if what Grouch said about S5 is true, than they are going to fix a lot of those issues and this idea is great imo! How many threads have you posted that complaint on? a lot.

that’s a different approach to the same destination…and some what less appealing
it also contributes to your problem because once you hit the next tier or division, the
rewards are given
but if in addition to that, you can collected a sum based on the amount of pips you’ve acquired, players would be much more willing to keep playing
doesn’t have to be enormous
or weapon skins based on pvp tokens
I do agree pvp skins should be back though, like the ascended glorious armor
No matter the solution. PvP needs to be more rewarding. Your solution Cynz is to “go farm PvE,” but what about players, like me, who only PvP? I’ve played this game since Beta 99% PvP and the only thing that I have had the opportunity to get worth while was The Ascension, and that doesn’t even have any prestige anymore anyway.
In theory I think it is a good idea. Would also motivate people not to akf so they don’t lose precious pips that are actually worth something. Depending on what Anet actually implement for S5 I think this could be great way to bring more incentive to pvp.
