Doesn’t matter how hard you suck,meds will fix it and punish your oppenent as twice hard as he does.
Atm theres no class around which has so easy acces to burst ( 2 bottons while 1 is an instaport lol) and has got insane survivability,though.
Even Warrior requires more skill

well cele builds of other classes isn’t that much as strong as dd cele ele, so i do not agree that cele amulet is problem. Dd ele themselves, they just too much might stack, cele amulet doesn’t grant might stack.
I actually think there is pretty decent balance among the classes right now.
- Warriors aren’t too bad anymore.
- Guardians are strong but not op.
- Rangers still need a bit more help, mainly in the pet department.
- Thieves and Mesmers can be devasting, but also have weaknesses to compensate.
- Necromancers still need work in sustain and minion ai.
- Everyone seems to focus their hate on Elementalists and Engineers, but this is mostly due to Celestial stats and no the classes themselves.
Bunker Guard/Engi
I would say terror necro, but hard counters to my classes is fine now that think about it. The only one I think that needs slight adjustments is d/d cele eles. I don’t have much problems against the cele engis tho.

Engi, now and forever.
I do my own thing on all of the classes, I have one of each. Success varies pretty wildly. But on my Engi, I can do whatever the kitten I want and win the round. Crit build works, condi build works, stunlock build works, decap works, bunker works, all of the above works.
They are powerful in an aoe, they are powerful at range, they have strong disables and knocks, they have a wide variety of viable skills, they can stack might, they can blast multiple types of fields…
Engi is a salad bar that tastes better than the menu.

In game modes that don’t always require standing in a little circle I would add:
Pistol cond thief and PU mesmer because having high stealth uptime/ range with DOT’s is fundamentally broken.
Otherwise elites that are essentially I win buttons specifically Lich/Crate/Moa (in a team spike)

- med guard, blind, aegis and heal spamming is just crazy, even pve ppl can play it effectively

Honestly, a lot of the classes aren’t OP and a lot of super strong builds came about more from the sigil/rune changes than any sort of balance changes to classes. It’s more like, “what runes/sigils go so well with certain classes that it makes them broke as all hell”. I don’t believe that a ton of changes to things like engis or eles are required at this point when what made them so strong the last patch was the changes to sigils and runes…
To that end, battle/cele/hoelbrak + lots of heals and vigor seem to be one of the go-tos in this meta.
Fire + air is stupid strong for burst classes.
Balthazar for condi engis is dumb too.
Nightmare is incredibly borked and total BS for necros.
The duration of poison on doom is a little too high as well IMO…
Pack runes are quite incredible and underplayed on just about everything…
EDIT: I will say the one thing that DOES need to be changed currently would have to be the strength of turrets… It gets pretty old pretty quick….

If i had to ad just one thing to it, it would be balancing as whole ain’t so bad. The area’s that would make for arguably the best difference would be block penetration and improvement in anti boon tactic via Boon theft, removal, corruption and hate. If these anti tactics made more priority of targeting higher stacks and/or longer duration boons first would be beneficial. As might stacking and multi-boons users begin to stack or add boons the chances of viable corruption, or targeted theft by proxy also makes your opponent stronger as you get stronger. In the case of boon hate make each boon, not each unique boon count towards increased damage until it reaches it’s maxed out ceiling. Destruction of the empower works by adding 3% per unique boon. So anyone running a steady 17-21 stacks of might =3% increase. Anyone running 5-7 boons with each on relatively short duration’s will have short windows of being exposed to higher damage. If the damage increase was for each boon to a maximum (For debate sake I will insert 30% just for discussion sake.) Then 17-21 stacked might will result in anyone running boon hate tactic’s piling on an extra 30% damage. Needless to say the numbers would need to crunched. However it is annoying when you corrupt, remove or steal boons and walk away disabling their 6 seconds of swiftness and the 20 might still sits there..almost smiling, if not laughing at you. Leave the might stackers to have what they have, it is valuable in PvE/dungeons/Fractals to them to remian viable and wanted in these area’s of PvE where might stacking is not an issue. However it does also make for better pinch moments for people who wish to run strong anti boon builds. Currently most anti boon skills make use of projectile and/or melee strike so they can be evaded or blocked making them not entirely win cards versus profession that passively stacks boons regardless of whether that was what they were trying to achieve or not.
Playing as a Power Necro I’d say it mostly comes down to quick decisions and mistakes on both sides.
Sure, I could list Medi Guard or S/F ele because they have very direct counters to my general playstyle, followed by lockdown mesmer. But if I get my dodges and rotations right and don’t screw up somewhere, I’m still able to kill even the most skilled ones.
The other thing is listing “OP” professions in corelation with conquest gamemode and team clash. It also makes more sense imo, rather than feelings based on which prof you play and how well you do in duels or such.
So it would be probably D/D ele, couple Engineer builds and bunker Guardian

1. Necro, too good at its particular role of smashing 2v2 and 1v1s! Signet of Spite and Corrupt Boon instakill classes with limited cleanse such as engi and mesmer! Carried too hard by passives!
2. Elementalist!Stow weapon lightning whip is game breakingly OP and the exploit needs to be fixed! Also tone down might stacking! Then Ele should be somewhat balanced!
3. Every other class, including engis IMO, is balanced my frands!

Med guard takes too much of knowing what your traits does, what skills activate what traits, way to complicated stuff, I prefer just start smashing and spam every single cooldown.

I mean it recommends travelers rune, that rune is good for newbs who like to run from fights right? so why on earth would they have traveler rune on that meta build site.. modified 2 days ago, probably some newb. I must never play against any of these builds because I’ve never had any of the problems described here.
Most OP class? xDudisx. He seems to have an endless, unremovable defiant stance and it does not matter what you throw at him, he shakes it off.

the build is fine idk how youre having trouble with it. play the normal gs build and use pack runes.
Condition Ranger. The cooldowns are a joke especiall the elite. I removed my bleeding stack, get rooted and got 19 in 2 secs again. If you are able to instantly keep up a dps of 1.3-1.5k with bleeding there is something really wrong.
spam-attacks-to-proc-IP engie, celestial engie, and celestial ele are straight up broken.
the valor traitline on guardian is also a bit too strong, that one traitline gives guardian too much defense and offense in one package.

I tried and cant kill nobody with Med Guard, I read description, says you gotta have aegis up, gotta burn foes. That requires too much work, too much knowing what buttons do what. Also to use that teleport skill when another skill is activated like hammer 2, guardian just moves way too slow. I prefer the warrior type, 100b quick dps over this slow terrible dps like hammer 2.
So don’t none of you say “playing med guard requires no skills”, if anything, its like playing a thief excellently and that’s hard to do.

Just because you can’t play a build doesn’t mean it’s hard/sucks. I doubt your skill level is so supreme that if you can’t play it nobody can.
All classes now have good metas that are well balanced, all around in every game mode
Rather than focus on what is OP, focus on what is underpowered
So we can create more dynamic in the game in general by buffing the useless abilities
1.- Engi . . . . of course no doubt . . . has all . . . evades, blocks, CC, AI, heals .. . heals . . . heals . . . perma swiftness . . .
2.- Med Guard . . . easy to play . . . . hits like a truck and. . . heals like a god and blocks blocks blocks blocks blocks . . . inv, inv , inv , inv.
3.- Ele . . . well . . . same . . . hits like a truck (best burst in game), heals a lot and brings a lot to the team.
They three share the same issue . . . a lot of sustain . . a lot of AOE . . . very very forgiving class.
People complain about rangers a lot . . . and yes they hit like a truck from 1500 but still they are easy to kill.

OP order Top 3 (From most OP to least and reasons why):
1. Ele- The current meta ele just seems to have it all. They have excellent survivability, very good mobility, solid damage, invuln stomps, etc… Honestly surprised that there aren’t more teams running 2-3 eles. Just too useful in every situation.
2. Engi- Engis do require a lot of skill but a celestial engi has a little too much survivability with the amount of sustained dps they have. Same as ele, just a little too useful in every situation.
3. Ranger- I don’t feel that Ranger is OP 1v1, but a power ranger is ridiculously annoying in team fights. Dealing massive burst damage from 1500 range (no matter how squishy) is a bit overpowered.
Honorable Mention: Terrormancers (Used to be really OP, but current meta builds have adapted to handle them pretty well), Full dps Mesmers (Really strong dps and good survivability, but lacks too much in other areas to make them OP).

Warrior (Hambow)
Elementalist (Celestial D/D)
Ranger (Longbow)
Engineer (Turret)
Thief (Just in general)
Necro (Minion and Terror)

I think it’s safe to say almost every class has a cheesy wtf-type build. As for ridiculous, and completely nonsensical, I still have to say Warrior is the most lulz. It violates almost every basic rule of competitive pvp. High armor, high health, great sustain, great burst, DoT resistance and immunity (DoT pressure in some cases), impressive defense and survivability, and team support. After this of course, like most people have said, D/D-Cele Elementalist, and AI Soldier Amulet builds (Turret) Just dont make a whole lot of sense, to me personally.

I have over 2k games played and better than 50% win history so you be surprised.
I actually think my issue is that I’m or was so high up on the leaderboard that its not possible to own people without knowing what your doing ( I got that high playing AH guardian actually, when I switched to med guard, lost 6 games win 1 game). But yes, that aegis, burning combo or whatever on med guard is very difficult to pull off, and its not easy so don’t go around saying “oooh med guard so op, requires no skills too”. Pulling that off is same skill level as playing a good thief.

Yeah, I didn’t want to throw rank into the mix, but I guess I’m speaking from the top/higher end of the spectrum, and I only know of myself and one other tbh. This is from NA perspective if that matters. If it were truly OP, it’d be on ALL the top teams, kind of like how ele is.

A Med Guardian can not bring a decent Ele’s health below 50% so not sure how they are OP.

SD SB bleed stack ranger pretty much counters DD Cele ele due to all the poison.
