Match making and a change to how duo que works.

For instance i would like to see the +/- changed for people who duo que. You should receive less points per win and a slightly higher loss of rating when you lose.

This is because Anet cant get the MM right.

I would also like to see smaller degrees in the +/- itself. None of this +50 and -50 for anybody crap.

The lets discuss the first 10 games. There needs to be a max, seriously cap it at 1650 and then all the elite players work there way up from there.

Then lets get rid of the decay system. We cant honestly have a League Season where 3-4 players get into the top 50 and only play 50 games. When some elite level players played 200 games and didnt get into the top 250 because of decay.

I mean if Anet could implement some common sense base lines that would be fantastic.

But I disagree on removing decay, it makes sense that if you don’t play for a while your ranking goes down. Only thing I would remove is to remove the ability to “farm” MMR through decay like some players did this season.

That personal battering ram looks like it could 1 shot the doors on the Battle of Champion dusk with 1 thrust….. Arena Net might have to nerf the range of that ram coming out clearly its OP with that kind of distance I can only imagine the asuran engineers in the game crying their ram only reaches out half that range

Why does that make sense though?

If i played 200 games at the start of the season and couldnt play the last 2 weeks due to work or life or simply because i put the amount of game in. Why am i punished when another player can systematically play 40 games in the last 2 weeks of the season?

If im in the NBA and i win the #1 seed with a record of 66-10. I have the top seed locked, why cant i sit my starters the last 6 games for rest? All of a sudden i should lose rank points because a team who is 40-36 played all the way threw with its starters?

It makes no sense, another example is i put $100 int he bank for interest at 2%. I get $2 at the end of the month. What you are suggesting is the guy who puts in $5 a week and $20 at the end of the month get more interest money.

None of us want this to be grind wars like before where the players who simply played the most games won the leader board.

But we shouldnt let players who played 200-300 games lose rank spots because X player played the last 2 weeks of the season even though they only played 40 games.

My in game example was my guild team, S1 and 2 we played seriously. Going 15-9 and 12-7. We got into silver division (top 100) with other guilds going 1-2 ahead of us.

So seasons 3-4 we only played 2-3 games on the last day of the season. We got into gold division. (top 25) Same players, less effort and it became a running joke about the guild challenger league.

Also getting rid of decay would remove the ESL player way of getting from 2000 rating to 2300 in 7 days while only playing 3 games.

I mean everything about the decay system is bad since top players are not in the 250 because they didnt play last 3-4 days and it could be exploited. Neither are good for a competitive scene.

Award 100 ascended shards for each byz chest repeat.

3) Chronomancer nerf to block uptime
4) Vault spamming nerf
5) Pulmonary Impact nerf

1. Hard cap on matches with MMR so Silver vs Platinum+ is not possible.
2. Minimum requirement of games played for leaderboard of say 100.
3. Minimum of 25 games for placement matches.

Classes:
1. Resetting Traps once the CD is off timer.
2. Warrior Mace F1 nerf
3. Ancient Seeds ICD increase.

I mostly play for the new Free-For-All arena in PvP lobby.
….. And Elementalist.

  • as already mentioned, decay system should be changed. What’s the point of playing right off the start of the season. If it stays like this, I’ll just start playing three weeks before season ends and I don’t need to bother with decay.
  • increased MMR gain/loss after decay makes no sense, but this one will be fixed anyway.
  • maybe remove decay entirely if you got a certain amount of matches. The more you play, the more accurate is your rating, so you don’t need decay.
  • nerf cheesy passive invuln like endure pain/elixir s
  • reward the loosing team for a really close game (450+ points) – but wait, this will be exploited in NA…so no
  • leave duoQ as it is, but add a rule that you can only play together if you are at maximum one division apart.
  • add a guild league(team queue) with a dedicated leaderboard.
  • frequent balance patches and less oversights (e.g. Druid GS 5 range, signet of the wild unblockable….)
  • maybe placement matches only available at start of the season. If you don’t play any you get placed one/two divisions below your previous division – decay would make sense with this rule.
  • individual ratings in one team should not be that far apart. This one would increase queue time of course.

I wish you could change utilities and weapon “out of combat” during the match. Right now you’re forced to guess what the enemy has (especially when people switch at the last moment). If I could swap weapon just like in other game modes, it’d make balance a bit better.

Limit on spread on MMR and, if playerbase allows it, try to find NOT exactly the same people to play with. This season it was quite bad when you basically have 12-15 people being shuffled into two teams over and over and over.

Add reveal + small increase of cast time on moa (so you have a chance seeing mesmer and dodge/block), so burst can’t be done completely from within stealth.

Activating invulns on warrior prevents point capture.

Balance patches every month with stream.

Changes are limited to one change per skill per patch and no change more than 20%. An example of this would be if you reduced the damage on symbols you couldn’t change any more skills or traits affecting symbols.

I know, some things need lots of changes to be brought up or down but the heavy handed nerfs and buffs over the years have been horrible and resulted in more underused skills than useful skills.

Yes you said in your last response but i disagree.

Ive always considered myself better then average but not as good as the ESL players.

When HOT came out a certain engy who took a long break and came back. He was obviously out of sorts when he first came back but literally 1-2 weeks later he was back to a elite level.

The idea of decay is just dumb to me, your reasons makes sense for average players. Not for the elite level players who put in for time/games/ high level pressure games which many of us havent done.

Many of the streamers/ESL players dont play PvP in the off seasons because there is no challenge in unranked. I myself take longer breaks and play less in the PvP offseason.

That still does not mean that some new player who simply wants it and plays more “now” deserves to get a higher rating when they are not better.

-Buff to defensive skills that make the player choose between attacking and defending, and a nerf to defensive skills that allow both at the same time. This is IMO the biggest offender in GW2 right now contributing to mindless gameplay and unfair builds.

Like for warrior: Buff shield stance but then nerf endure pain .

So off season play doesn’t affect your decay, since decay is tied directly to the PvP season. I don’t understand where you are coming from here when you start talking about people who play during the off season and decay.

-A system where you don’t have to win 50 fights in a row to achieve something

-More control and prevention for match manipulation (like disable whisper to an enemy member and mails while in pvp to prevent corruption)

-Block char swap after the match starts, if someone go to character select and relog to save time after a death should relog at 1000+ foot midair, die and wait the respawn. If a different character is selected after the match starts should spawn with deserter.

-5 man queue back and fair match:
1penta vs 1penta.. if none in 5 min:
1penta vs 1quadra+1single.. if none in 10 min:
1penta vs 1triple+1double.. if none in 15 min:
