can you plz upgrade warhorn as well?
can you grant us some stability for 2~3sec and small amount of adrenaline whenever i use warhorn skill, or longer weakness duration plz. we are very bad at dmging right now nor do good supporting like guardian bunker.

There are much more greatsword/longbow warrior than warhorn warrior in its population of spvp actually. if you try to upgrade the weapons that isn’t popular at all for warrior in spvp, warhorn and mace are to be upgraded first but not greatsword.

It is not really low dmg even though you exclude 100b dmg from its overall dmg. lets compare it to regular sword+warhorn build’s dmg… sword elite (bleed+physical dmg)2000 but takes 2.5sec to be hit them all, final thrust 2000 but takes 1 sec to activate, leaping 2nd skill is 1000 but it is really easy to dodge for enemy so in total 5000 dmg for 4~5sec but GS’s only 3~5th skills can dmg around 10000 and they are all instant skill that does not take time like sword’s flurry. Dmg i described here are all tested by heavy type golem.

Or maybe they uses wrong amulet for gs, if you equip gs Then berzerk amulet is must have. and 100b on downed foe using stability stance is like hell and gg for enemy team for that part of fight actually.

And also GS has best mobility among weapons and grants you perma fury actually. And as long as I know, Gs/longbow is one of best build for dueling/far point assaulter for Warrior. There is already notable evidence. I know several guys in dueling arena uses this build all the time and they used to be top1 in soloq, or teamq maybe but not sure its performance in teamq, in the recent and past days(i wont mention their names here). This fact anyways proves gs/lb is pretty good at current state as well. but I have never seen warhorn or mace war keeping himself within top50 for a long time(lets say 2 week), but Instead I saw many hambow/GS/axe-sword/cond war keeping themseleves within top50 for a long time. There is one warhorn warrior who hits top100 but he doesnt seem like keeping this good ranks for a long time. so that means warhorn war is inferior than those weapons in spvp, not wvw.

Therefore, if there is weapon to upgrade for warrior as needed in spvp, NOT WVW becuz i am talking about effectivenesss of it in SPVP only, I always says it: mace and warhorn, rifle are to be upgrade first then others if needed.

They can’t buff warhorn bacause it is already rlly, rlly strong in wvw and they don’t split the balancing. If they buff it, it would be very op in wvw.

Warhorn doesn’t need anything else. 20 second blast finisher and 15 second movement impediment wipe.

plus you have a main hand weapon.

GS got improved because it was incredibly bad at doing anything except running away and auto attack, so they nerfed the move that doesnt hit anyone anyway and gave them a 360 degree aoe so people would be more compelled to slot it for something other than escaping/zergmachine/pvd.

Fairly sure MH mace, OH axe, and rifle are getting improved, it is not JUST greatsword. If all you want to do is suggest warhorn improvements, maybe change the title of this post.

No sane player above Dolyak rank (with some exceptions) will

*sit there for 100b.
*sit there for 4 (which is not instant cast)
*sit there for 5 (which is also not instant cast)
*sit there for current burst, which means no perma fury for you.

I don’t know what you’re "gg"ing about. there’s no crowd control on GS (with the exception of cripple for a slow-traveling projectile) and most of its skills are easily evaded or blocked, with the exception of skill 3 and the AA.

I’d take sword over GS anyday. Without the burst change, GS is not self sufficient against opponents that can kite.

GS/LB warrior is bad in 5v5 and people only play it for fun.
Other classes do a better job with better mobility and more reliable bursts and boon strip.
GS buff is necessary because it’s just that bad, no guy would ever use it in any serious play. theres just no place for it, anything a gs can do, there will be some one does it better.

and not that good either compare to condi mace/sword, celestial axe/w/e, hambow in duel.

i’ve been playing gs/lb for ages, so is vassangel who played longer and better then me, also agrees i believe.

GS/LB is fine for solo queue, solo q is not even taken too seriously now on days specially with how many bad players are queuing up, a broken matchmaking etc. Good thing GS is getting buffed thou.

You have sited damage example on golems. Golems have set toughness values that are usually exceeded by players who wish to run a toughness build. So the damage values you are siting are not always the same values you will actually see in game. The golems are also conveniently situated on flat ground and don’t move.

Actual facts about greatsword are:
Skill 5-Rush- has a range of 1200 unites. If you use rush at 1000 units or greater it will always overshoot and miss. That means it’s actual usable range is 600-800 units. Any evade movement performed by the target once engaged causes the skill to still target the area the target last was, and then rubber band to where the target currently is, often resulting in missing again, even though it has entirely remained in range.

skill 4-blade trail- Exhibits behavior by flight of the crow. This often results that if your target moves to higher ground on an incline that it interprets the incline as a wall and blade trail will begin it’s return path prematurely even though the target is still in range.

Skill 3-whirlwind attack- In a game mode designed around nodes, WWA range movement is equal to the node size. This results in the player being taken in and out of capturing the node. As decap engineers have shown, the ability to defend or assault while remaining within the cap node area will result in you capturing it. Players that move in and out will eventually lose it. The skill itself strikes 4 times, however that is not to say it will strike a single target 4 times. At it’s maximum range WWA often carries a 50% miss rate, and on occasion when used at point blank range will still miss. Think of this like dropping an apple onto a helicopter blades while moving. It will probably get hit, but it is not guaranteed. The only time the skill definitely will strike 3, perhaps all 4 times is if you pin a target up against a solid object,..even then it is not guaranteed.

skill 2-100 blades- Unarguably one of the longest channelled skills paired with the most obvious animation. With reduction of damage delivered with the starting channel and only the final strike of the channel remaining unnerfed this is also arguably one of the most PvP unfriendly skills. It will soon be a case of only fools using it. It is long, self rooting, very obvious and doesn’t deliver much damage if you can’t ensure the full 3 second duration. Much the same as Barrage is being changed because the channel and self root versus the damage delivered and conditions suffered were considered underwhelming, 100B needed this consideration. This is not to say it is useless, but when a stun and/or knockdown and quickness are needed to deliver a skill that will most likely only strike for 7isk at best, well that’s a lot of investment for a non show stopping result. Arcing slice was always underwhelming and was deserved of a change. The increase damage it will soon do only justifies that with adrenaline nerfs it needed more. It does not justify that great sword as a whole needed overall damage reduction.

Great sword on paper looks good, but in reality with its long channels, self roots, obvious animations, inconsistent strike rate place it firmly as a weapon choice for those who like it, but not one for those who wish to Pvp at any sort of higher level. If you look at all the video’s of great sword in PvP, you can see it being used well, but often the best results come from opponent bad play (I.E Having no vigor and being within range of 100B and not being able to dodge now or by not evading bull’s charge or failing to use a stun break when being set up for a big hit.) Greats word just lacks a clean, fluid style. If it is not over shooting past your target, firing you out of the node or experiencing bugs..or simply just overtly telling the world “Don’t come near while this highly visible, ultra long channel is happening.” It needed real finesse changes, not adjustment to numbers and how it’s burst skill worked.

looking forward to this, The GS burst skill will be worth using on finishing off foes, and warrior will become more about adrenaline management, since it will expend adrenaline even if missed. Might make things like Berserker’s Power, or Healing Surge(Combo’d with impairment wipe on heal) given second thought of being used.
