Honestly, i am really tired of
- facing same premades over and over and over again while i am qing alone.
- having 3v5 games which happen way too often
Expecting everyone to have full 5 man team on TS is unrealistic.
Please give us back soloq.
I am sure if anet would lose 100 bucks every time 5 soloq faces full premades they would go bankrupt by now.
Oh i forgot to mention trolls that sit at spawn and verbally abuse team whole match because anet never bans players for such behavior; which is really odd considering how fast mods ban someone on forums, even for reporting bugs but somehow can’t manage to bann real trolls in game~
Is it safe to assume that such behavior is supported?
There is nothing in pvp that encourages teamwork unless you are pre made so a solo queue wouldn’t change much. The same problems occur it is just that you won’t face a pre made. There needs to be a lobby system so that you can talk and see your teammates (maybe switch professions for team comp.). And there needs to be significant punishments for abusive behavior and behavior that does not help the team.
this thread is being repeated over and over again. however, no matter how much we (soloq’ers and even 2-3 team premades) like to address the issue to ANET, they seem to turn a blind eye towards it.
Again, they don’t want to give grave punishment on quitters and trolls because of GW2’s small community and yet they disregard regular and casual PVP’er doing solo rank. It seems their loosing players anyway and these (ANET) are hoping they will be able to bring them back with the new expansion. Good Luck with that!
Solo q is not necessary IF we have a voice chat and a reson to win. In LoL you have pings as a way of communication and it works perfect. However it is for moba game and top down view. Here we just need voice chat.

you have a point there. BUT, this will not solve the problem. Language barrier is one. 2nd is that unless you REALLY know the people your teamed up with then you’ll have the same objectives otherwise there will be different strategies. with that there will be more complaints and curses being thrown out.
Problem is people doing soloq’ers are being neglected in this game. its simple and should be addressed well. otherwise, let ANET bring back the old leaderboard computation where winning result is not only the one that matters.

voice chat won’t fix it
there is reason why league has soloq and teamq separated as well
despite how much anet tries to force people to team up, majority will not team up most of the time (no friends, no team, not good enough for too high standards, just want to chill out alone or with 1 friend etc.)
most ppl who do pvp just want to queue and have some fun matches and not getting farmed at spawn by premades
this kind of system atm just makes people quit pvp/game… why doesn’t anet understand it?
I get you guys but LoL has tons of players for making that solo Q and premade Q possible. I’ve played CS:GO for a while too and they have 5v5 as well, voice chat in there too. Usually you have one guy who is leading, if any really. Or you have people at least talking a bit. Not all do so its ok. Some rage, sure, you mute them, problem fixed. Also premade doesn’t always mean you win. From my experience it is just as possible for random team to win. Always depends on the players. If you communicate (which most people here do not, its worse than in SWTOR, CS:GO and LoL), if you stay positive and if you try (I’m not talking about super focus try hard, just do your “best” in the moment) everything is ok.
And language barrier is always an issue but most people know at least a bit of english from my experience from other MMOs. Also thanks to voice chat you can learn a lot. If you meet few good guys they can give you some advice. Most people are lazy to type it down to the chat.
Anyway. Most money are probably going to the game from PvE crowd so unless Anet really wants to make this game more successful e-sport, they won’t change much I guess. Lets keep hoping though.
matchmaking in a nutshell. this was a ranked match during prime time hours 8 est. matched against a full premade with a full pug. Here is the kicker i’ve been facing premades all night it seems the matchmaker refuses to match premades against premades for some odd reason. I’d rather wait an extra 5mins than 3-5mins to face a full premade during prime time
