This was happening to me last night, while I was exclusively in heart of the mist / queuing for matches.
I figured out that my game lagged ONLY WHEN I was connected to the 64.25.38.114 server (which happened more often on maps like legacy and forest for some reason). Whenever I connected to the other servers I didn’t have the rubber-banding issue. This happened consistently throughout the night.
I asked my party if they were also in the 64.24.38.114 server, and they were, but weren’t experiencing any lag issues. While I was playing, I did a continual ping to google.com and 64.24.38.114 server, there was packet loss when the rubber banding occurred only to the .114 address, google.com had no packet loss issue.
If you have this issue again, type /ip and report here if this happens to you as well on a specific server. Might help the devs spot the issue faster.

Notice how i lose packets in the last 2 hops.
This doesn’t happen when I connect to the .163 or .135 server. this happens right after i leave HoTM to a game instance server.
Well they will say its not there server just like recent tourney, blaming it on DDOS when its wasn’t it’s there darn servers they bad shape atm. I’ve been DC’ing in the mist in almost every game but I’m always lag free then boom dc’ed….

Same here. Twice tonight I lagged hard and got disconnected. Both in Khylo. Could be coincidence, but had no lag on other maps I played tonight.
I get those lags only when certain players are nearby and I’m fighting against them, usually at very specific moments that always benefit them.
I’m about to finish Svanir, some guy comes running, the game gets a massive lag hit, and when it’s over the guy is running away after stealing the kill and defeating my unresponsive character.
I’m about to finish taking Tranquility, some guy comes running, the game lags again, and when it’s over they took tranquility and my character is defeated.
I do not believe in coincidences. Lag does not wait until the very moment it benefits only one side. One time it may happen, but every time? No. Every single time being like that, that does not happen just because of network lag.
I’ve been getting Odd lag over the past few days aswell.
It starts of normal, then slowly gets worse.
It is most noticeble in PvP though, where the delay can sometimes be a few seconds long and the occasional lag spike can occur.
and I know its not just my imagination, because ill salvage multiple items then see their output appear in my inventory like 2 seconds later.
game is next to unplayable for me in PvP.

Same lag spikes all over… making spvp not worth queuing for.
In the last 2-3 days i had lots of lagging game, with also a kitten of few seconds, but the problem was not mine, because i was monitoring my ping and generale connection and i didn’t have problem with any other game. In particular yesterday night any skill didn’t start, everywhere i was (lionarch,WvW,pvp) , and after 30-40 sec i was kicked from the game, this happened everytime i logged for almost 10 minutes, i didn’t have any problem with my connection! i checked!
I’d like to have an official reply from devs, i know this is impossible….if the game doesn’t change this direction i’ll be forced to quit, most probably many others people will do the same.
The lag is real and very frustrating, it always seem to come at the worst time. When ever I am just camping an empty point I never lag. A lot time lately I am getting insane lag spikes mid combat. Then when I die an respawn lag is gone.

Unbelievable we haven’t still got an official reply….
We won’t get a worthwhile reply, and the lag will probably be gone come Tuesday when Halloween is removed, and will return when Christmas stuff goes in. I get my worst lag in pvp, even though I’ve gotten some in other places since patch. I believe somebody said this somewhere, but the lag in pvp is probably being caused by them using the pvp architecture for things like the Mad King’s Clocktower and Lunatic Invasion. Christmas does the same thing with the Toy Town.
