year 1, 4 seasons, we getting an ascended precursor backpack, and legendary backpack if completed all 4 parts of the first year of the ascension achievements.

for the coming 2nd year, do we get ascended precursor armor set (special all 6 items package) ???

I don’t think its a good idea, those legendary armors should be obtainable on PvE imo.

i think all newly introduced ascended precursors should be able to be obtained via pvp as well.

it may attract more pve players to play pvp, and more pve players to be farmed by pvp is always good !!! XD

Knowing Anet it’ll probably be an even nicer looking legendary BP, which would explain why The Ascension looks like a gemstore reject that got some particle effects lazily slapped on.

Looking at what legendary weapons have associated with them (sounds/footfalls/auras) the BP just doesn’t measure up, it should at least be fixed so the animations for it are less stiff (the fractal BP has the same issue)

I don’t think it’ll be legendary armor that we see in the next set of seasons. Possibly another back piece. It’s kinda rough to say.

As far as legendary armor goes where, I think we’ll see it in WvW next.

Yeah I mean after raids

I think that they are doing the next PvE story line, or they are not doing anything, and they are clueless what to do next ( they are in the dark and want to touch something ) … when they touch it it will be again a PvE raid?! Or something in that size… and 1% of the people plays it, because it is kitten boring, don’t have enough time for it, or they can’t do it …
I really hope they are doing nothing, because they are doing the next story, that stoles them all the time …

devs talk about this, they want pvp players to be able to obtain, what other game modes offer(dont really agree with this). thats why with luck u can get full ascended gear just doing pvp. u can also save enough gold, for mats to craft legendary. when they introduce legendary backpiece. both pve ( not even complete ) and pvp have them. theres even rumor of another legendary backpiece exclusive for playing WvW. now when the pve legendary armor comes out, devs will have to let pvper and wvw players have access or a way to getting there legendary armor.

i feel like year 2 should give us a legendary gem that we can put into our amulets, to honor our long forgotten feature that fell pray to lets-trivialize-pvp.

changeable stats of course and an effect (like those queen bee bla and chak muh or whatever they’re called) that lets crying llamas whirl around you.

If they were to do armor (say an armor that matched the back piece maybe?) that would be nifty. (And I do think pvp having a uniquely skinned legendary set is a good idea)

Unfortunately they’d either need to stretch out the time it takes to achieve (2 pieces this year, 2 pieces next, or some such) or they’d need to make the requirements more stringent. Given some of the requirements for the back piece…. I could see a lot of people up in arms either route they went.

Yes, but in pve you have tiers of collections and multiple raid wings required in order to complete it. We’ve been told that “Envoy Armor I: Experimental Armor” is just the first tier of the collection, and it will require all 3 wings in the first raid to be able to complete it. We don’t know if the final result will require 3 collection tiers (like Ad Infinitum) or 4 tiers (like the HoT legendaries), or how many more raid wings will be required per collection. We know raid wing 3 comes this summer (June-ish I think?) which completes the first collection, but how long do we have to wait for the follow ups?

They would need to make something close to the same difficulty for a pvp legendary armor for it to be done “right.” One method should not be “easier” than another.

I consider that should be more on PvE and WvW than PvP. What i would like to see its more reward tracks with skins unique to PvP, we already have the Glorious Armor, i want more armor/weapons PvP exclusive pls!

glorious armor is of exotic level only! i want precursor ascended level armor sets that can be upgraded into legendary ! XD

and they could be pvp exclusive too!

I agree, a set for WvW would be good too. This is something I’ve actually been saying for some time now (not just regarding a legendary set, but regarding mode specific rewards in general).

I don’t agree with the opinion that you shouldn’t be able to obtain it in pvp just because it doesn’t have any “use” in the mode. That never stopped the out cry about legendary weapons (and not being able to get them via pvp, having to actually go pve, etc) long, long ago. It doesn’t matter that the stats can’t be used, even pvpers like having the skins.

That’s the theory they had when they started the game. In fact, they believed that you didn’t need any rewards whatsoever other than the skin. They changed from that idea because it is a bad one.

They should, but they aren’t. And having one more way to get them wouldn’t hurt. Though i’d say at this moment WvW should have preference.
