I know Lotta people complaining but its simple.

Imaginary math. If you have 200 games played and only won 90 of them you are never going to progress. You are going to have to win 2/3s of your matches to get well above 50% for any chance to move up.

Here is advice stop solo queing. Find 1-2 other players figure out some voice coms and figure out your builds and learn to play better. And carry the bad pugs. You will then progress.

Sorry there is no other way.

Strictly speaking, your win/loss ratio is not what determines your MMR. The MMR of your opponents you won or lost against matters a lot. An upset where a low MMR team (Team Deadly Dolyaks) beats a high MMR team (Team Quirky Quaggans) increases the MMR of the Deadly Dolyaks moreso than if the Deadly Dolyaks had beat an even lower-ranked team. Likewise, if Team Quirky Quaggans loses to the Deadly Dolyaks, their MMR loss is much greater. And because the Quirky Quaggans were predicted to beat the Deadly Dolyaks (due to their higher MMR), a win by the Quirky Quaggans would not increase their MMR substantially.

So if all of your losses are predicted to lose, and some of your wins are upsets, your MMR can still be average or above.

Now, all that being said, your advice is spot on. The fastest way to raise your MMR is to win “upsets” against teams with higher MMR, which is most easily achieved by playing with a coordinated group (i.e., using voice comms) that knows how to rotate (mechanical skill is useful but less important, as you need only force outnumbered fights to win).

ya the point is if you are losing more than you win your not going to progress regardless of MMR but your MMR is probably low if you don’t have better than an average 50/50 win loss ration becasue of the way ANET has stacked the odds against you this season. Chances are you are ending up on the low MMR losing teams.

If you want to be on the winning team you can’t have low MMR. If you are Low MMR and lose more than you win IE 200 games won 90 loss in my example. You are just going to have to group up and carry the low MMR players and win using voicecoms and help for another good player or players to carry them.

ANETS logic is its looks at your MMR if its low puts you on the losing team. Don’t solo you will never progress if this applys to u.
