pls only write what you mostly want to see on future ranger pvp patches.
maybe then there is a topic where devs can maybe see what ranger players want.
and maybe they can pick out the 3 most wishes…
im sure 75% of ranger players are still not rly happy with there class atm…
it feels wrong on place in pve, wvw and pvp most time. dont know what is rangers real job for groups…
mine:
1. useless traits remove/rework. trapper traits need move to an other traitline
2. more self skill use general and on f1-f4. ranger is to passive gameplay.
3. only a pet when i put points into beastmastery 10-30 to have real archer builds and beastmaster builds (because we never become pet controll i whant new f1-f4 skills…)
sad, i have much more, but topic should be easy to read fast.
(if there is any interest to use it, pls keep it clean as possible)
oh and the wishes dont have be easy to do.
my last ones are for sure not easy to do for anet, maybe you guys have some good ideas.

1. A ranger forum?
A pet that actually hits moving targets with swiftness, ranged pet projectiles that don’t get sidestepped.
The ridiculous f2 skills made instant and castable on the move.
1. GW1 Ranger (no pet unless taking a skill for it)
2. If we must have pest, better attack mechanics. If 40% of my character is a pet I want to at least get 40% out of it
3. If we must have pest (that isn’t a typo), instant cast F2 abilities that overwrite whatever the pet is doing and force that skill to be used (putting the ability it was using on a short interrupt cd, unless a channel the putting on a longer interrupt cd).
1. Pet stats in line with ranger stats. If ranger is tank, pets are tanky, if ranger is GC, pets can 1HKO anyone.
2. Other stuff to do with ranger other than kite and spam shortbow auto or evade here evade there while cats and birds do the killing. Either are effective but outrageously annoying to the opponent and brainless-ly boring to the ranger. It’s like phantasm mesmer, the skill ceiling for this kind of playstyle is no higher than my 3-year old niece’s waistline.
3. The rise of useful, viable spirits.
And if you allow me to post just one more but is tied with number 2 anyway:
4. More micro management on pets. More useful skills for pets and not just relying on send pet to target and auto attack anyone and annoy him to death.

I find my biggest issue is if I create an offensive build, and now I’m not talking glass cannon, I mean 30 points into Wilderness survival then some combo or skirmishing marksmanship My survivability goes to near 0. You have to put most of your traits defensive, plus rune choices, plus utility skills.
While in the past I’ve wanted more damage which I still think we need, I think a few traits combined on the defensive side might help more, or just the stronger classes brought down to us.
No matter what anyone else says in here about how they do well with a long bow class cannon build in random scrub Spvp where people are generally not coordinated it will not survive against a good player that plays a class that can do damage.
1. A New bear pet whose F2 ability makes you mount him and move at +25% speed from base, you gain 5 new abilities while doing this and put on a knights jousting helmet. All abilities are melee.
2. Trait for ground target spirit active abilities.
3. Pet Scaling on ALL stats from the ranger (including condition dmg/dur), also access to more of the pet’s abilities. Pets can move and attack, pets chargeup is significantly reduced, pets auto attack damage reduced.

Nerfed the pet dmg, just increase the RANGER dmg.
Nerf the Spirit elite, rez activation need an maximum range of 1200 maybe.
1. Increase ranger damage by 15%-20% overall to make up for the 50% damage decrease on the pet. This is a small change that would make rangers far more viable.
2. Provide better control of pet allowing us to determine when to use each of its f2-f4 abilities.
3. Adjust Pet mechanics to provide the pet the ability to attack while moving. This is honestly a small change that would be so beneficial to rangers everywhere!

Shortbow animation fixes , fixing longbow by nerfing the shortbow range, pets that can’t hit targets while moving, instakilled spirits. Pure development awesomeness since 2012.
1. Slower attack speed of bazooka bow
2. Less survival (regeneration, avoidance, condition cleanse)
3. Change downed spell 3 to only regen 50% of downed hp and make longer/more visible casting of 2 and unable to use pet spells when downed
4. Lower duration of immobilize and bleed elite
5. You need to be chanelling all the time longbow 5 or the spell brake/stops
6. Better punish system if pet dies in pvp and if you change pets in pvp it doesnt go full hp and without conditions back in but comes the way it was stowed (unless if it is away fir more than 5 min), oh yea and 1-2 sec cast time on swap
So yeah thats my wishes for next patch.

I’d like to see less beast traits in the other trait lines and replaced or combined with other stuff.
pls write serious and not things whould make ranger op or up, just because hate agaist some other classes you dont play urself.
dont understand why ppls hate some other classes in games always Oo
i whant have a game where each class can have a place in a team.
i like to play each class in this game. but i have choose ranger and guard as my mine class.
and maybe some not ranger players write too some useful.
ranger feels atm like engi after release. nearly nobody care about it :/
More Spirit improvements, and im 100% serious.
