All new weapon possibilities
You know we already have spears, right? =P

Yup, and tridents but unfortunately only for underwater combat. There were posts suggesting spears on land so I gathered it.
To be honest I’d class most of those in the list as the type of thing I’d expect to pick up as an environmental weapon, and a couple are just specific types of weapons that already exist.

Even the Great Axe as two handed weapon? Every RPG had it sofar. It is slower that the Great Sword attack but has potentially more damage.

Remember that in GW2 weapons are essentially just a collection of skills. When talking about adding more skills to the various classes I would say most of these options are suitable for at least one class.
Sideways progression = Good.
It’s not that I’m against the idea of more weapons – I actually really enjoy the idea on the whip thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Weapon-Type-Whip/first#post2067009
But most of those in the list don’t seem like great additions.

GW1 didn’t have it =P Apart from warrior (who already has too many weapons), I can’t imagine another profession using a great axe.

Ranger would obviously have a GA skill set, and probably either Necro or Ele for a 3rd class.
Heck I would be happy if each class had more than 1 combo that was the “best”. If you aren’t GS/Staff guardian, you are gimping yourself. I have tried so many builds, and most of them are laughable compared to that combo.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.

While I broadly agree with you Guardians are one of the better classes for weapon balance. Scepter plus focus or torch are all good combos, Hammer is at least as good as GS and there are good arguments for sword as well. Other classes have much bigger problems with weapon balance imho.
Now how on earth did I missed that one ?! I see you found a page with many variations for the Katar
The Tome could be an excuse to introduce nee spells but new things the Engineer as well – schematics for deploy able devices.
As for the double saber It would better fit a new class that could mount 2 swords as use it at one
