Well like the title said it, please in the future add a third Heavy proffesion?

(i’d like to see a lancer or something like that)

Now i’m debating sinds i got a norn guardian , Should i make a Charr or a Human Warrior? O_O tough choice but not only that there are three proffesions for Light and Medium Classes so why are there only two for Heavy.

Anet i hope you will add one in the future!

White Lions Claw , dungeon, Living Story ,
Personal Story, WvsW , Guild Missions, Living Story and so much more.

I hope they won’t. New profession can bring imbalance more than anything else.

Lancer would be great!
And give them a spear as a non-underwater weapon! I’d gladly roll one right off the bat!

On the other hand, guardian can probably fit most of the lancer role quite fine…

The only crime, turrets committed, is being good against the celestial meta.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.

No class needed anymore. We have allrdy enough class-imbalances. As you only PvE i guess you won’t understand that, but classes in PvP are freaked up balance wise.

I’m sure Anet will add some classes in the future, they did the same thing twice in GW1.
But it will take a long time, first the current classes need to be balanced.

As you only PvE i guess you won’t understand that, but classes in PvP are freaked up balance wise.

Easily fixed, seperate pvp and pve skills/traits. They did the same thing in GW1 and it worked perfectly. They will have to implement that in GW2 because if they don’t, there will never be balance.

Dear A-net: Please nerf rock. Paper is fine

Would solve the problem. In the last SOTG A-Net devs said they won’t seperate skillz between PvE and PvP. So you have the solution, but A-Net refuse to implement it.
I’m sorry for the whole playerbase.

How about we just wait for the expansions to come out or them even start to work on an expansion ( which they are not ) before we start asking for more professions. Adding more professions in the middle of a game instead of at expansions is a silly idea. I know for a fact that Arena Net has stated that they are going to make sure the world as they have it is full filled and fixed to their liking before starting work on any expansion.

Also There have been lancers in a multitude of Fantasy games.

  • D&D
  • Earthdawn
  • Pathfinder
  • Exalted
and the list goes on, although my bets are is that the Lancer Idea came from Tera, where it isn’t bad to look at other MMO’s for profession Ideas like the abrasive Nighttarch was trying to say un-obtrusive as possible, when you suggest a profession for the game give us depth
  • Background on profession
  • Weapons allowed to us
  • Primary Utility skills
  • Basic description on how you see the weapon skills working

If I was remotely interested in Lancers this wouldn’t be a hard thing to do. That is like me saying I think Arena Net should add druids, I always like the shape-shifting and nature feeling of them. Now Even though I am talking about the Druids from DnD, people will only see this

I think Arena Net should add druids, cause I liked playing them in WoW

With out an explanation behind the suggestion you are lending people to fill in the gaps and ask why.

(FYI I don’t think they should add druids)

Monk… lol in GW1 it was all about the Monks (and Eles)
Monks could farm wayyyy easier than ANY class.
Monks were mandatory for ANYTHING.

F that, I’m glad they’re not in GW anymore, these bald monkeys. I used to kill them with my Sin, but they were really annoying.

We already have enough diversity, what’s truly needed IS NOT another class but classes being able to use NEW weapons.

Spear for Warriors/Guardians (Paragon style), sword offhand for Thieves, why not rifle for Rangers (oh come now they use Greatswords and you tell me they can’t bring a rifle? woot??)

Well for one, take everything A-net says with a grain of salt. A-net said many things that turned out incorrect at the end.

In fact, A-net already tackled their own statement since they seperated one trait already in the previous update:
Evasive Arcana: The spell cast while in water attunement has been split between PvE and PvP. This spell’s effectiveness with the healing attribute has been reduced by 50% while in PvP.

If they did it once, they’ll do it again. Especially since it’s an excellent and much needed system.

I’d like another heavy class option, but it needs its own flavor apart from other classes. Look at it this way:
Guardians: burning / boon management
Warriors: might/fury / conditions and damage

I’d like to see: chill + fear / position management (controlling enemy locations with traps, pulls and pushes)

Smitten Mittens (The Gothic Embrace [Goth], Fort Aspenwood)

Well, you know they will most probably be adding new classes to a future expansion, right? And if it is a new Heavy Class, it will kick both Guardian and Warrior’s butt because it is new and they need incentives for us to buy the expansion.

Don’t get me wrong. I love ANet and the work they are doing and I most certainly love this game. But they did in the past (GW1) and it is very probable they are doing it again. Specially if the expansion is independent of the vanilla game as it was with GW1.

So no hurries for more classes. Just wait.
