Banking Karma
I was actually looking around for a topic regarding this to post a suggestion as well. But you nailed exactly what I was going to suggest.
Even if ANet wanted to be anal with it similar to the tax on the TP they could charge a service fee for banking Karma. All we need is a way to get Karma to/from alts when we play them. I started leveling a new alt and realized it was completely pointless as it in no way would effect my account.
He wouldn’t make good gold until he hit higher levels – with tons of DR in between that time. So he wouldn’t be able to help out with money until 80 – plus once he hits 80 he’ll share the same DR time as my main.
He wouldn’t be able to give my main Karma (For legendary mats ofc).
Everytime I load up my character select screen and see my alts, I get that crappy feeling you get when you have to get up for work in the morning, before selecting one. Playing alts is not even enjoyable for me. I even wanted to make my alt (Guardian) my main but it just seems pointless to progress a new character when everything I have on my 80 warrior is stuck on my 80 warrior.
TL;DR: Banking/Account Bound Karma would be nice

I don’t really see the need.
- Obsidian Shards are account bound
- Food in bulk is account bound (once opened)
- Consumable items from karma vendors are account bound
- Recipes are account bound
- You can transfer skins to other characters by transmuting white items
“I don’t really see the need.”
What if you WANT the 63k / ea karma item set on someone who doesn’t have 63k karma?

The only reason for this would be the stats, and you could get those different ways. Skins are transferable.
