Buff the Mobs. I want to play with them.
I want to know what love is.
The devs don’t care about WvW so I’m gonna kill players in PvE!
I want to give mobs that love, and then turn that love into acid, and then take that acid, add some daggers and turn it into an electrical spike.
Mobs don’t have surge protectors.
I want to dispell their buffs.
mesmer/necro (and engi… with acidic elixirs/mines)
I want to turn their buffs into conditions.
necro
I want to steal their buffs, and give them to my party members.
mesmer
I want to turn their buffs into direct damage. Remove them with Fire!
I want to turn their conditions into direct damage. Cure them with Fire!
I want to take the conditions from my party and give them to my enemies.
necro
I want to take the buffs from my party, and give them to everyone in my party.
mesmer
so… why dont you just play a necro/mesmer? not every class should be able to do everything
80 warr [Blaze Steelsoul], 80 ele [Blaze Nightstrike], 80 mesmer [Grim Shatterwhirl]
80 guard [Dusk Grimlight], 80 engi [Flintgear]
Most of the buffs I see on mobs, can’t be played with.
Maybe I am playing with the wrong mobs.

oh; you mean stuff like http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Frenzy_ ?
if so; yeh removing stuff like that would be kind of nice … transferring it to yourself would be OP at higher stages… and cant see what it could be corrupted to
i misunderstood the first post; i thought you were asking for all classes to be able to manipulate boons and conditions… but yeh having mobs use more boons would be nice (the only ones i can think off of the top of my head are dredge gong players, skales and ascalonian monks… then again… classes with the ability to manipulate those buffs do have a strong advantage against them… except skales… skales are super duper easy)

I can be a bit unclear, it is a multiple-part suggestion really.
I do not want to be stealing the “NPC effects” as I agree that would be overpowering. I do not see a problem with being better able to blow mobs up that have that style of buff.
I want more mobs to have buffs that can be played with by the players. Not having the buff manipulation builds be interesting just for WvW and PvP, but also in most PvE.
I want some high percentage of mobs to be more powerfull, but with abilities that players can counter for more play choices. Including boss style mobs.
Two condition builds in the party? Currently they limit each others dps. What if instead we could feed each others dps by stacking up conditions then blasting those conditions off in a welter of direct damage.
The rest is playing with ideas around that theme that would fit the various Guildwars 2 classes. Turns out we can already do more along that line then I thought, and from more classes as well.
I want to know what love is.
Here we go again. Never gets old.
The thing is, adding boons to mobs is going to do exactly one thing: Make Thieves/Necros/Mesmers stronger, while everyone else gets weaker because they cannot do anything about those boons. Heck, especially if we’re talking about boons like Protection on mobs. Do away with that and it’s an instantly 50% damage increase to everyone. That’s literally so powerful that if it was a consistent thing, you would see all the elitists ask for 1 boon stripper along to their speedruns.

I want to give mobs that love, and then turn that love into acid, and then take that acid, add some daggers and turn it into an electrical spike. That sounds more like a suggestion for an Elementalist ability to me. Hello curing them with fire!
Necro’s, Mesmer’s, Warriors, Guardians, Engineer’s, and Thieves are already able to play with boons according to some lists in this thread. Notice all three or four classes ( depending on who you read ) already in demand for those speedruns are in those lists.
That being said balancing around the top players of one activity is silly. The best 5% will beat everything you put in front of them and yawn.
Balancing around the so called “elitists” is also silly. The greater majority are people just like everyone else, who want to play a pick up game, just with folks that know the game, and want to play well. A few are bad and want to be carried, a few more are loudmouthed, but every group has some of both.
