CALL TARGET when not grouped.

Who’s target takes priority? The problem would be something like the Harathi event where you have three champion rockdogs. If you’re lucky and the group can clump them up then you’re golden. If you have to burn them down individually, who will count as the ranking player? Highest level/Commander/Most hours played/first one to hit the button?
This is more indicative of the need for larger open world grouping. Getting all of the players in a certain area into a “raid” where someone can be designated leader and chooses to make decisions like this.

What he meant was actually calling out enemies only for himself so that he can easily track them. At the moment, calling targets is disabled when solo, so he just wants to be able to do it when solo, not so that others will be able to assist him, but because of some other reasons. Basically he just want’s to be able to do it despite nobody being able to see it.
If he wants to target when solo, then it would only work if he can only see it, seems kinda pointless, unless in pvp I guess. Pretty. Sure there’s some options for sticky targeting in the options menu. Maybe that might help
+1 to allow targeting solo. Really no reason to not allow it.
calling target when solo would support us PvP players in allowing us to single out some targets in large scale WvW combat. It helps when dealing with mesmers, and heck, just being able to have a large target over the persons head you need to focus on, works wonders.
and yes, it would be only for myself to see.

Not a PVP player, but wouldn’t that negate the basic mechanic of the Mesmer?

Group with one other person and you can already defeat that base mechanic. That other person need not even be in WvW with you to allow it to happen. So I see no reasont o not allow it for solo players.
would love that too and no it not only usefull in pvp, but also in pve, for instance with my mesmer i may be fighting as melee mob but there is some archers too so i swap too archer target and put a feedback on then and then i could jsut press the target the called out mob mob and much faster be back at attacking the melee one
+1 for being able to see your own target call when you’re solo. It would be helpful e.g. for calling a boss and switching between pummelling him and his adds.
LOTRO has a kinda neat system where you can “lock” tooltips for about 4 mobs on your UI and click of them for targeting. (Perhaps WoW has something similar?) Slightly different kind of game, but the sentiment is the same: confusion reduction in furballs. Especially given how… unusual the targeting hotkeys are in GW2 (Target Closest Enemy selected the untagged neutral mob 1200 units away and not the red beating on me from slightly off centre? Really?) it would be handy!
Please add this feature.
Among other things you can also call target on a friendly, which helps a ton to keep track of them in a mob of un-friendlies.
