If so I want all my gold back that I spent per Character for dyes. I assume it wont happen.

YES! YES! YES!. If you spent a bunch of gold on duplicate dyes that is your problem. Should have instead got on the forum and demanded this be account wide as most EVERYTHING should be!
I would say yes but changing the soul bound to account bound can stir up some tension with in gw2 community because of what people said, they spent gold on dyes therefore leading to a problem on switching to account bound. Good idea but already too late in the game to change this imo.

Dyes are extremely important to the economy, whether you want to believe it or not. Making them account bound would screw stuff up royally. I’m not saying I’m against it, but there would be significant monetary and economic repercussions if they went account wide. And no, I’m not a rich player involved in the dye market. I don’t even know how to flip. But I do know when I get a dye worth a couple gold that I don’t like or doesn’t look good on my outfit, selling it is really nice.
No. This is what keeps the rare dyes valuable. I don’t want to get 5 silvers when I sell an Abyss on TP.

No. There would be absolute kittening uproar. Some people have spent a kitten-ton of gold on dyes over the past year, which they will not be able to recover. They will all go bat-kitten crazy.
Should have been done from the start, but now that so many people spent so much gold on dyes, it’d be a crime.

This argument that people have spent gold on dye therefore you cannot make Dye account bound is ridiculous!
All of your transactions on the TP are tracked by Anet. It would be trivial for them to refund past dye purchases.
There is no valid argument against account bound dye.
The only other argument to be made is in favor of the greed of dye sellers.
I vote for the enjoyment of the majority of players in having account bound dye over the enjoyment of a few player who gouge dye prices and line their pockets at present.

There was a big discussion on this BWE2 and some in BWE1 even less in BWE3. I think that due to it is available in the trading post now most people do not mind that it is character unlocked. Thus why It has not changed. There are a few people that would still like it account bound.
Also if they do make them account bound they will have to pull them from the trading post to keep there value. Meaning that everyone will be forced to get all dyes to get the dye they want. Yes it is technically possible for them to be account unlocked and still in the trading post. But may not be the best for the economy.
Personally as they are available in the trading post I am having more fun with them that way.
