Editing the Guild Message of the Day
Completely agree. I was surprised to find that in a game called Guild Wars 2, the MotD implementation feels very sub-par. My fellow guild officers were all equally struck at how glaringly wrong Achrmaeiad’s “Major issues” are.
Achrmaeiad’s suggested fixes look very solid. /signed
It was totally editable in GW1, I don’t see why they didn’t include that feature. They also left out how it appears when you log in, so that all guildies are aware of any new messages without checking it in the guild panel.
So +1, should’ve been there in the first place :P

and some more text to bring the amount to at least 15
All of what the OP said, plus the MotD needs to pop into the chat box when members log on or switch to repping.

Absolutely! Although all our members know that there is a Guild Message, it would be nice to have it pop into their chat upon log-in so that they can scan it and note changes immediately instead of depending on them to open the guild menu to see.
(While we’re at it, can we get a pop-up message in chat when a members signs in and out?)
It would be great if this message would be display in the chat / g after logging into the game.

This feature really needs some love and attention. It’s silly that you can’t edit the message without rewriting everything that was in it previously.
