Endgame
I’m bringing my main character to endgame
You mean “I exited the first town my main character was in”, right? The whole point was that the entire game is “end game”. So people do not need to grind levels to get to the actual content, but rather it is offered since level 1.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.

Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding. By “endgame,” I mean my char is lvl 80, I’ve nearly completed personal story and I’ve almost achieved world map completion.
Well, more stuff for level 80 characters is on the works I think, but meanwhile:
- Fractals & other dungeons
- Legendaries
- Alts
- Crafting
- Ascended stuff (need to do decent amount of dailies / monthlies)
- If you have a little economist in you, you might enjoy playing the BLTC (I know I do). For those who have old and grumpy economist in them, I know BLTC isn’t as much fun as stocks, and some might think playing it is “too easy” but I enjoy it nevertheless.
And it isn’t exactly an activity, but I like to collect gems. Since you can just trade gold for gems ingame to buy extra character slots, bank tabs, ect.

The last thing I want to do is grind and grind all day long. I mean, sure, the payout of Ascended or Legendary gear is always nice, but is very far away.
I have high hopes for what ANet has to bring to lvl 80 characters to keep people interested in the game after they’ve reached that point. Maybe more quests, challenges, and other aspects to narratives that are easy and fun yet challenging to participate in.
What else would you guys like to see available for your lvl 80 characters that might keep you interested?
Well, while it is true that every repeatitive action that aims for some goal can be considered grinding, it’s also hard to make content that lasts for ever without being repeatitive…
So if you don’t like that, I guess you need to start another character. =/

Well i suppose what they’re doing with the Living Story is kinda like endgame story ^^ if they can get it up and running once every week as i heard someone mention they where aiming to do, i think it can be something really interesting to do for us lvl80s ^^ they might even add a few dungeons and smaller cities through the Living Story, they’ve already added an ominous closed-off refugee town in the northern wayfarer foothills that i hope they’ll do something with soon
This game was designed so that leveling your character to 80 has little bearing, and requires little effort. You take your level 80 to a starter zone where all those sparkling new level 3s and 5s are, and you will ALSO be level 5. True “end game” really can be defined as getting ‘been there done that’. That means you’ve explored every map, done every mission, beat every dungeon. Some take it a step farther to get every achievement. Really, it’s up to you what you want to do – go for that (which is also a requirement for Legendaries)? Concentrate on PvP and WvW? Go for Ascended gear? Level another 80?
Short answer is – this game is not about reaching 80. Heck it’s not even really about then gearing that 80 for stats as any serious play can do that in less than a month. Grind for looks. Go for 100%. Do PvP/WvW. Level another 80 to find a class that you really want to stick too. I simply see no ‘end game’ – it’s a continuous game. And they try to nail in that with their monthly content updates.
