I hate not knowing which Portal Invasions counted.
Same with all the other achievements like ‘Dungeons Discoverd’ or different paths in dungeons.
I like to have a detailed view which parts of the achievement are done and which not.

Please add this in the game, ANet. Obviously the game already knows which maps the players have completed towards the achievement. Letting the players themselves know is the logical next step
this is really basic game design and it’s absolutely pathetic they didn’t add it already with their big achievement tab update

I agree, Invasion Canceler achievement is very poorly implemented. No explanation what is counted and way to track it. Inability to track extended achievement is just a flawed design and must be fixed.

Yes! It’s as if Anet wants us to play longer by trying each invasion map even though we did it before.
This seems like a must have if you are going to have ?/? for completion!
I ran all invasions and am at 12/13…even marked them down as i did them….one must have not counted so now I have no ideal which one i need to do!
Can we have a developer comment on this? at least give us a invasion achievement map tracker so we know which ones we have yet to complete
Debugging the problem might take a while but with a map tracker we can at least focus on the maps that aren’t counted instead of a hit-and-miss approach

The achievement driving me nuts right now is Dive Master. There are 40 locations and I honestly do not remember which I have and haven’t done.

Do want – not just for this event, but also for ALL upcoming events that have any chance of encountering problems like this.
This is a must have. Especially if the achievements bug out and don’t advance on one point of 13 that each takes 45 Minutes…

Also if I may add that I have poi’s within dungeons also that, because I cannot see the interior of the dungeon in the open world, it is impossible to see what ones I am missing. Seems quite lacking for a game that revolves around it’s achievements.
Please do this and have it retroactively check the ones off you got credit for.

YES! /SIGNED – For this and every x/y achievement in the game that does not provide a list towards completion. As others have mentioned above, the game is tracking this so why not display it? To me, it’s the most obvious ‘missing’ feature with the achievement system that would provide the greatest amount of happiness to the achievement hunters out there. Thank you in advance!

Gods yes. I’ve been at 12/13 for a while now, doing each map 2+ times each. I’d at least like to know which map I’m not getting credit for.

Definite +1. I have completed 13/13 maps (tracked on paper from the start) I am credited with 12/13 and I didn’t notice the discrepancy until I hit 11/13 and noticed my tracker only said 10, so there is a huge number of zones I would have to re-do that MIGHT update my achievement. In addition to tracking this better (and future achievements like it) there must be a way to write a script that checks for successful zone completion events (IE the ones that give us all the boxes when scarlett is killed or failed) and gives credit if they happened. I’m doing a bunch of job interviewing this week and probably won’t be online at a time I can re-do the map i’m missing even if the tracking is fixed, and i shouldn’t have to, i’ve already done what the achievement demanded.

Love this! And all the other suggestions! It is a shame we have all that beautiful achievement panel and still need to use a paper notebook to write down the maps we went or paths we’ve done for dungeons…

Guys, looks like a fix ain’t coming
Hi guys,
After some careful investigation of these achievements, we believe there are a few technical restrictions and communication issues that are causing the problems here.
First, Molten and Pirate events do not grant achievement credit. This means that if you hop into an invasion right as scarlet spawns, or if you spend an entire invasion on pirate and/or molten events, you will not get achievement credit for that map.
Second, disconnecting during an invasion seems to have some odd effects on participation credit, especially if you end up switching maps in the process (i.e. moving to a different overflow). You should still get credit if you participate in at least one watchwork event after reconnecting, but if you disconnect, you should assume your participation credit up to that point has been lost. This is far from ideal, but it would be a code-level fix, and we wouldn’t be able to get it in before the end of the event.
Lastly, because the previous two issues are not super obvious, people may be losing track of which maps they have already gotten credit for. The meta rewards are always given as long as you’re on the map when it ends. Many players expect this to mean that they also received achievement credit (which ideally should be a reasonable assumption). However, as this is not always the case, they may mark off a map as complete, even though they did not receive achievement credit.
So in order to receive achievement credit, you need to participate and complete at least one watchwork portal event, and still be on the map when the meta ends. It doesn’t matter how far the meta gets progressed, and you don’t need to participate in any Molten/Pirate events.
Hopefully this clarifies some things for you, and many apologies for any frustration this has caused. In the future, we will try to ensure that large-scale achievements like this are more easily trackable to cut down on any potential confusion.
