The reason behind the speed nerf is so that you wouldn’t have as easy of a time running away from mobs. Because let’s be honest, with Stability and some condition removal, you could totally blast through most areas in the game without ever fighting a mob if the speed wasn’t limited while in combat.

Not like you can’t in most areas anyway. Nearly any melee enemy can be run past or dodged past to avoid initiating combat, and many ranged can as well.
The only melee enemies that can initiate combat are those that run significantly faster than you (Pinipals and Risen Thralls come to mind, as well as lucky Bats).
Unless you’re a Ranger like the OP and then you’re constantly kittened by the terrible pet AI.
Stability doesn’t really help with immobilize, and rangers have very poor condition removal. In any case, why not simply remove that mechanic in W3? I mean no one stops to clear mobs there anyway, and they aren’t needed for any storyline narrative. It makes no sense in a competitive environment to have one class nerfed like that.

Here’s an idea, disable the combat speed nerf in PvP and W3. The mobs in W3 aren’t that combat influencial really. Most peeps just ignore them completely unless they are potential allies or a champ.
