Immune to Burn is stupid
inconsistencies and annoyances all for something that singles out some classes and specs to just do worse than everyone else is stupid.
Lets not forget that no class specs for condition damage and only brings one condition. Since burning doesnt stack damage already, it’s sort of a useless condition anyway.
So how would you suggest a condition guardian use something other than burning, what with not having bleeding, poison, confusion, or torment?
Destroyers have an immunity to burning and I hate it as an engineer.
I can imagine Guardian and Elementalists hate it too. World of Warcraft had resists when it first release, and they got rid of it because it’s established as bad and just annoying.

Imagine as a mesmer, something was immune to confusion. You’d be upset too.

Whatever way you look at it, a creature that can live in lava shouldn’t be able to be burnt. Same as a rock shouldn’t bleed, and an Ice Elemental shouldn’t be Chilled.
These sorts of things make players think of different approaches to how they fight enemies.
Ah man you have no idea how happy i would be if it were so… Fire elementals wouldn’t burn, earth couldn’t bleed and so on… or ice golems and chill…. for all sakes it should boost em rather then debuff… well atleast make less effect. Those were effectively working in GW1 if i recall corectly, system itself is genuinely awesome. This game is faaar to easy already (excluding ridicolous living story minigames), making it more that way… well many people quit. What’s the point if it’s like F1 F1 F1 F1 F1 dead…. older gamers know what i mean.

So do people want more diverse immunities spread around to the NPCs of PvE?
Or do people want burn taken off Destroyers (and I guess other immunities off other foes as well)?

I want more immunities but the absence of a perfect system of immunities doesn’t make me want to scrap the whole idea. the way I see it, the more the better. So some is better than none.

I want appropriate immunities added to appropriate mobs so that there are specific mob types able to counter specific builds.

Earth Elementals should be immune to bleed? Um, they’re already immune to CC. And most boss mobs have resistance to conditions in general. If more immunities are spread, wouldn’t it be smart to apply them to more than just conditions?

Absolutely. I want to see mobs that are immune to crits to counter crit builds and mobs with really good direct damage reduction to counter power builds. I don’t just mean conditions when I say build counters.

Everything is pretty near immune to it already. In PvE, confusion has been garbage since launch because its duration is too short for NPC attack speed. No (sensible) mesmer would spec for it.
The problem with immunities is classes (particularly guardian in this case) who get much of their damage from one condition. Mesmers basically don’t have condition damage in PvE so it doesn’t affect them.

We’re saying either remove the condition immunities, or make it consistent across the game.

How about a boss with powerful projectile attacks made of energy that will heal himself if reflected?
