I thought of this after a grave mistake my brother made when using the mail system.
My brother had received some armor that was very good, with superior runes, and relatively high stats. He wanted just the runes, but he didn’t want to throw down 15 silver for a master salvage kit. I had received a black lion salvage kit, and i said that I would salvage his items for 5 silver. He was going to send it to me, but he misspelled my name. Now his armor is in the hands of another player, and that whole letter contained items worth 1 gold and 24 silver (Might not seem bad, but a hefty loss for a new player like him). So i suggest a change in the mail system. We need to see our mail sent, and be able to withdraw that mail in a short time, in case we didn’t want to send it. Please, i don’t want what happened to him happen to someone else.

While I agree with seeing the mail sent, the option to withdrawal the message isn’t a great one.

Yes, I understand he lost the items, but just like in real life. You CAN’T unsend email you send. Once it is going, whether you type the address correct or not it is sent.

Good rule of thumb to doublecheck your address / name you are sending the message to.

Like a mail timer or an ARE YOU SURE button. Personally, I would like to be able to right click someone or just their name and have a “mail to” option.

Uhm….sorry, but in Outlook, you can recall an item if you do it before the other person opens it.

OT: I’d like to see sent messages or conversation history as well as more than a handful of mails.

Yes, I know this and this feature requires an Exchange account to be used. If you use anything else this feature WILL NOT WORK!

I have met less then 10 people that use exchange accounts on a daily basis while a majority of the population uses email provided by their ISP or Yahoo / AOL / Gmail which doesn’t have features like this.

Such a feature allows people to become lazy with their emails IMO. I think it is a horrible addition to any email client.
