With guesting, there is no longer a purpose to having dungeons sometimes be closed.

Your original plan: Group wants to do dungeon, its closed. So they band together and do an awesome event first! Fun times for all!

How it works now: kitten COF is closed. Anyone have it open? No?

Tabs out of game, opens up browser.

Guests to appropriate server.

THAT IS NOT GAMEPLAY. THAT IS POINTLESS TEDIUM

Thanks for reading.

I’ve been in groups that purposely went to the server that had the dungeon closed just to we could do the event and open it.
Why? Because fun.
Don’t find it fun? Then guest to a different server, just as you suggested.
Different strokes for different folks. Ultimately, more options, not less.

best events are one that open dugions. Gates of Arah is great example of nerfed great event cause some servers didn’t have manpower to do no one does anymore.

If players are doing that, then it’s down to the player. If some people find it fun, why remove it?

If you do do that, it’s pointless tedium (and all for the sake of running CoF1 over and over). If you and others unlock it youselves, then it’s gameplay.

From an immersion point of view, I’ve never understood why the bad guys leave the entrances to their dungeons unguarded. I mean, it’s their base of operations. You’d think they’d make it difficult to get in. Not leave them open as if inviting you for a cup of tea and some biscuits.

Life is a journey.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
