No personalization == no interesting play
What in the world are you talking about? There are tons of different outfits. Every single dungeon has its own unique armor for each of the three armor types. Every zone level has a unique set of armor per type. Crafting has unique rare armor designs. The personal story gives you access to unique armor designs. Then there is another whole set, per type at the end of Orr.
Some people wear the same outfits because some are more popular than others, but it’s not for a lack of options. Thanks to transmutation stones there is no lack of options available from 1-80. So sorry, but this is a completely rediculous complaint fully devoid of reality.

“Until then, byebye”
Uh huh. It’s one of those posts that manages to combine the tedium of those “Mounts!”, “Houses!” and “I’m leaving!” topics all in one.
As a North American I can say this: It’s a geography-based decision process at ArenaNet. The European competitive scene is far greater than any other part of the world and ANet must cater to their needs. Oceanic players just don’t care and like the game for what it is, and I seldom see them complaining about anything but their own Internet (I feel for you guys). Finally we come down to NA players. North American players are the only geographic section of gamers who think that they can get e-famous, and thereby make posts like this, demanding that ArenaNet give them tools to become “known”. Guess what, cupcake? It just doesn’t happen. You get e-famous from doing something stupid that makes people laugh on YouTube, not by playing a single game and decking out your character. Please, if you really think that ArenaNet cares that you’ll quit their game if they don’t give you what you want /right now/ just go ahead and leave. You won’t make a difference. Posts that have acceptable content and provide a logical argument as to why their suggestions should be implemented into the game catch ANet’s attention.
Having played City of Heroes, I get the OP. I spent a lot of time customizing my characters, and admiring the characters of others (or laughing at them for being hilarious, intentionally or otherwise).
Notice the OP mentions titles such as Ultima Online, that predate the corruption of the MMORPG genre by eSports. People should give him more credit.

.
could you please spend a link on item collections (e.g. armor sets) the player can acquire from e.g. level 10-25 so that i have some GOAL in the game?
