in the game you have been editing all the class skills and utilities to open up a more diverse builds. something that you can also consider would be opening all armor lvls for all classes. right now the only reason people have thier armor is because they cannot change the quality. now if you were to open it up without changing anything so that nothing is added to the armors EVERYONE would switch to heavy armor.
the reason is simple. light and medium are incompetent. they give the same stat bonuses as heavy does, yet they dont give you the same armor rating. because of this the cloth users are simply unable to compete with a tank in stats, because they dont need to get gear for thier toughness stats or vitality as much just because they already have a higher armor rating.
there is a simple solution to this and it would be relatively controversial. add a new stat to the light and medium armors.
having a new stat that doesnt affect power, precision, … but your endurance regen. this would compensate for the lack in armor rating for being able to dodge more often.
my suggestion is to use a 5% increase on each medium piece of armor and a 10% increase on a light piece of armor. meaning full medium would be 30% and full light would be 60%, or you could do a combination for 40% regen or 50% regen etc…
also it would be very interesting to open up all armors to all classes. so they all can utilize the 60%-0% increase in endurance regen. it would then also make using light armor more appealing and you could have more warriors switch to it for that reason.
it would also open up an immense world of build options too. to have a warrior in light armor would be comparable to having a monk. or a necro in heavy so they are more durable.
my problem is that light armor users are stat deficient compared to heavy armor users, and the solution would be to give an endurance regen stat to light and medium armors to compensate for the deficiency. also to open up the build world even more give all classes the ablilty to use light, medium, and heavy armors.
