Sexy Male Armor
and as always i agree

I have a flashy top or two in Norn light armor, but I could really use a pair of pants that show off my assets.

Heavy armor has several good gladiator themed armor sets that show off their rippling physique.
- Mike Obrien
Not taking into account cultural armors (which are all mostly covered except for norn ones), heavy has the gladiator, barbaric, pit fighter and the named set (though this one is sometimes also called pit fighter), light I guess the tactical set shows legs, the feathered shirt is mostly shirtless, and there’s also the nightmare set shirt that shows some chest skin. As for medium, well, unless you’re a norn, most you can do is going sleeveless.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
for the available options you must be a norn, a warrior or guardian, or both.
the feathered light shows chest but the sleeves are a fashion disaster

The heavy armor that shows chest still isn’t very sexy. Being heavy armor, I wouldn’t really expect it to be more than it is. It’s mostly the medium and light armor that I feel should have sexier options.
Amadan, I gave up my feathered chestpiece because of those sleeves. What a wreck.
Currently wearing the T1 Norn cultural light armor chestpiece. I dyed it emerald green and feel a bit like a giant Peter Pan. It’s OK for the moment, but we could definitely use some more options.

The Heavy Brutus Chestguard is essentially PG Male bondage. On a more serious note, armor always tends to look better on female characters but I don’t think thats something that can be changed

Of course that can be changed. The armor looks better on females because they made an effort to make it look sexy on females, but they practically made winter clothing for the males, aside from a few heavy armor chest pieces.
Because “sexy armor” is in the eye of the beholder truly, what I think you mean is you want “skimpy armor” on the males. To be fair though the males have a good amount of skimpy armor. I can off the top of my head think of at least a dozen armors spanning all 3 armor tiers that fall into this category.
I haven’t seen personally another male character wearing the set I wear on my guardian, or even any (that were not jokingly also in full pink/babyblue color schemes) male characters in skimpy armors in general. But note that out of the 40+ different non skimpy medium armor skins, every other female is wearing one of the 2 skimpy sets they get and there are countless threads complaining that the people want more… I think it has less to do with sexist male developers and more to do with what the players (and possibly on a bigger scale, society as a whole) want.
Like I said there are at least a dozen skimpy armors for men across all 3 sets, that weer all included in the base game. Even the newest set Braham set features a fully off the shoulder, bicep and pectoral revealing top that just about makes the man naked from the waist up, and even shows some leg skin. But go count how many male characters you see wearing that. Then count the females you see wearing the Phoenix armor or how many are now sporting the new Magitech skirt.
Can you blame the devs? they make/made skimpy male armor but the players time and time again show that they don’t want that. By not wearing them or, ridiculing them. Personally I’m glad Anet is not stepping down though, I love my Conan the barbarian outfits! Keep them coming!
But I also recognize that if there was 1 skimpy outfit for females per armor tier, we would see those all the time on nearly every female character. And if all but one of the male armors were completely skimpy we would still see mostly fully clothed men. The devs cannot make the men wear the skimpy armors.
I understand that this game is created by, and geared toward sexist males, but those of us who are attracted to men would appreciate a little eye candy.
So by your statement… all male players are sexist, and you are then a sexist as well for wanting to see scantily-clad males. Talk about broad generalizations.
Believe it or not, one can appreciate seeing some skin, without being a sexist.
I personally would like to see LESS scantily clad females…. and I am a straight male.

Sorry, but skimpy =/= sexy. I’m not aware of any skimpy armor available for light armor wearing humans, aside from one chest piece that has already been pointed out as not being very attractive. Show me a male armor set that is both revealing and attractive, and I bet you will see a decent number of players using it. As it is, I know many players that do what they can to show off their characters chest, and would probably love more armor options to do so.

Nowhere in my statement do I say that all male players are sexist, and I would like to see equivalent sets of sexy armor for males and females, so neither am I sexist.

Put a more attractive face, reduce the breasts, widen the hips, and it’s perfect. :p
Agree with you my theif is a charr and there is no appealing armors. they got horrible clipping issues and skirt. On my warrior I’m using hall of monument armor one of the only ones that looks manly and without skirt.
Less bulky armor with clipping issues for male armors please.

To address this specifically, you actually make a good point. While what I want a sexy male equivalent of each sexy female armor set, preferably making them look much more similar, this could also work the other direction. There are many male armor sets that you may think look awesome, but the female equivalent shows far more skin. I think that each set should look the same, show comparable amounts of skin, on both males and females, so that players don’t feel they are left out of an awesome armor set just because of the gender of their character.

Right Skimpy != Sexy.
You are noting the lack of “sexy” armor right? So then what does skimpy armor have to do with that? I bet a lot of guys think their full Flame Legion armor is very sexy.
That’s why I tried to define what you were really asking for, revealing armor for males. There are quite a few. But now you are changing the standards to, “revealing armor for males that you personally also like the look of.” Well sorry that puts the burden in a realm that no one can satisfy. A-net can make all the revealing armor they want and you would just complain that yes its revealing but it’s ugly. In fact I pointed out they just made a revealing male armor set.
Yes there are fewer revealing armor for men than women in this game, no one is disputing that. But you seem to be forgetting that there are far more non revealing armors for both sexes in the game, And that there are plenty for males to chose from. The fact that players chose not to wear revealing armor on their male character and chose to wear revealing armor on their female characters is not A-net’s fault.
I’m not aware of any skimpy armor available for light armor wearing humans, aside from one chest piece
I’m not aware of any skimpy armor available for medium armor wearing human females, aside from 2 chest pieces… Doesn’t stop them all from wearing it though.

There are less scantily clad armors in this game than full armors, even for women. check the Heavy armor and medium armor threads for complaints in this area. Light has the most options (makes sense) but even there, female players have many options to not be scantily clad.
The players not A-net chose to wear the same revealing armor as each other… Not much variety.

Have to agree to this. I have only one female character, out of 16, and it’s a charr… which doesn’t count. The reason I don’t have any is because I really don’t like how all pieces of armor have to look pretty/fluffy/skimpy on females. If I have a female warrior, I want her to look like a seasoned WARRIOR. Not a cosplay girl….
I deleted a few female characters because of this, and as a result I have none now.

I dont think you worked very hard or long at trying to find armor for your “WARRIOR” that wasn’t pretty, fluffy, or skimpy. Let me help you.

Too bad you wasted your time… they all look girly and whimpy. Where are the butch ladies at? Try again, expecting more links to disapprove.

I see so women in full plate or chain mail look wimpy to you? Well I think that says more about you than anything…
You complained that you didn’t like the armor… so “where are the butch ladies?” Wait its not the armor now? is it the woman that are wearing the armor that is your problem now? They are not butch enough for you? Here I’ll help you out again. And be sure to say how she isn’t man enough to be a warrior again.
Yes. More eye-candy for the ladies. Like the Norn medium armor. I do agree also with options for less frilly armor. Can we at least get the option for NPC armor somehow? I love some of those sets and would consider buying them if I had to get them from the Gem Store… Which include more pants for ladies, more leaves for Sylvari, etc. I believe some NPC armor also has more “sexy male armor” that isn’t an option currently. And so far I haven’t found one set of Gem Store Armor that I like.
It’s a video game…..
with virtual characters….
kids play this game….
why does there need to be anything “sexy” in this game?? like what the hell?

Technically, only kids between the ages of 13-17 are allowed to play with express permission from a Parent/Guardian.

Yea well I’m pretty sure those parents aren’t aware that theirs kids are playing with adults asking for “sexy” armor….
why dont you just watch porn or something….like why bring anything even remotely related to sex into a video game?….let alone a video game that kids play
I understand some people want more variety which im completely fine with but specifically asking for something “sexy” is just weird
There are several good looking armors for males!
Just try out different things, mix and match and you can come up with some interesting stuff.
“Sexy” is a matter of perspective.
