Transmution stone - bring sPvp items to the rest of the game
This wont happen, and for a good reason.
As soon as you can bring ‘sPvP’ items into PvE/WvW, then all the PvEers will want to be able to bring their gear into sPvP. After all, they worked hard to get it, just like PvPers, why should PvPers be allowed to look cool in PvE, and not the other way round?
They cant do that because that would destroy the whole reason for PvP ranks ect in the first place (the looks).
They always will keep them very separate.
Alot of the endgame in PvE is also getting looks too, so that kind kills endgame PvE if you already have it in PvP.
Its fine how it is now imo, you have to work at one or the other to actually get anywhere, you cant bypass it.
@Anylon I disagree with you.
“It kills endgame PvE” – really? like there is endgame PvE in this game, farming for skins isn’t endgame. And btw, you spend same time in PvP trying to get cosmetics, so you play PvP as much as your play PvE, in other words: you play game, just on different levels.
Separating things, like this ones is foolish, it doesn’t makes any sense, exept that it shows that you are foolish.
PvP is all about getting looks, really? If Anet shares your opinion, then they are fooling themselfes, and everyone here, that this game will be E-sport.
Open your mind and stop saying nonsense.
Anet will give us choice to do both, mark my words.
It’s only a time when they make it possible, and the way Anet is doing things atm, you will need to buy “special transmution stone” with gems.
And it isn’t fine. Stop defending bad move from Anet, ty.
I believe in Anet, and I believe they will defend their reputation and get it back, cuz they are kinda losing it from me as the time goes.

I don’t get what you’re saying here. There’s a reason for separating sPvP. It creates a controlled environment to observe and balance their game.
Notice how gear doesn’t give you any stats, it all comes from your amulet.

You’re misunderstanding him at this point. Its clear that English is not your strong point but you could at least make a better effort of understanding someone before trying to blast them in a language that is already difficult for you.
He’s saying that late-game PvE is being sold as a fashion contest and he’s not entirely wrong. Most of what you do in PvE is to look a specific way. If you allow people to bypass PvE efforts to change looks by simply going auto-leveling and buying chests, there will be no reason to complete much of the PvE content.

I’m not going to say that they won’t because anything is possible…I just don’t see it in the near future.
@Redscope.6215
Are you trying to make me a fool?
1. “I don’t get what you’re saying here. There’s a reason for separating sPvP. It creates a controlled environment to observe and balance their game.”
Where did I mention gear? I was talking about cosmetics, and only about them.
It’s foolish you can’t use them in PvE and vice-versa.
In gw1 you could use PvE gear in PvP, and noone ever complained. It didn’t have any bad influence on PvE side of a game!
I am aware about difference between PvP and PvE gear, thank you, tho is was unnecessary to mention it, seems like you are the one having hard time to understand.

Did I?
“They cant do that because that would destroy the whole reason for PvP ranks ect in the first place (the looks).” – is what he wrote! So I answered him what I did, I disagree with this with all my heart.
Please, read more carefully, with better understanding.
My English isn’t as much good as I want it to be, I am working on it, I want grammar to become natural to me, but I do understand it. Something you lack, as it was shown.
3. “I’m not going to say that they won’t because anything is possible…I just don’t see it in the near future”
With this we can agree.
If community wants, there is a chance they will do it. There isn’t any real argument of not doing it, except one: Their end PvE is only about collecting cosmetics.
If they are afraid that people will stop playing PvE because PvP cosmetics being available in PvE (and they are easier to get), then there is something very wrong in their PvE.
That is the only real argument here for them not giving it as a choice

Chill out mang.
I was just explaining.
Clearly you dont get it. The only reward you get for PvP is the skins. That is it. Nothing else. Your stats stay the same, everything stays the same. Only looks change. Oh and titles.
PvE is much the same. The ‘best gear’ doesnt necessarily look the best. Thats why transmute stones are in the game.
Crossing the two would mean PvE’ers can look bad kitten in PvP and vice versa without actually doing any of it.
Go ahead and ask in /m what the majority of people think.
Your wishes are almost certainly in the minority.

No thank-you.

I think you’re misunderstanding his question. He wanted to allow spvp players to use their hard earned skins on boring looking over gear.
Not allow pve players to bring skins into pvp
In my opinion I think they should allow spvp gear to be shown off more than just one tiny confined zone.

I don’t get it?
Where in the world I don’t get it? I exactly know what you are saying, and I don’t agree with you, that is all.
If I don’t agree with you that doesn’t means I don’t understand.
PvP and PvE end game is now all about getting skins, and that is bad thing.
PvP shouldn’t be like it, same as PvE. Anet says updates will come, I hope they will be good.
Only thing “I don’t get” is why you are so against skins being transmuted to other gears (PvP to PvE and vice-versa), your arguments are wrong and selfish.
PvE will not die because it, same as PvP. It will die only if this game is only about getting skins, which it is atm, and that is what is wrong in this game.
And it will not die because getting skins is easier in PvP, it will die because this game only has that (skins) to offer as it’s end game.
It’s Anet’s time to make us wrong, and get us end game we need.
Then you will see how childish is for you to be so against transmuting gears from PvP to PvE.
For me it seems like you live in a world you don’t give kitten about others, and also you don’t like to show out.
There is nothing wrong with you not wanting to show out, but it is for you not giving a kitten about others.
People wants to show what they achieved, this game only has skins (even titles can’t be shown), and if this is the only way they can show what they did, why wouldn’t they?

Im only going to say this one more time man. Chill. Out.

How totally un-necessary.

Im not the one acting childish here.
" your arguments are wrong and selfish."
Actually i think you’ll find thats exactly what ArenaNet designed, and its MORE selfish for you to say “i want to be able to do X, Y and Z” than it is for me to say “well you cant because of these reasons”.
Anyway, back to the ACTUAL topic, personal insults aside.
You need to understand that this isnt just ‘my opinion’, this is the stance the ANet has most likely taken. I cant speak for them, but thats just how its made, and why most likely its made that way.
Skins ARE end game. It makes it more fun the whole way along if getting the stats needed to do endgame content doesnt take 9/10 of your game time grinding before you actually get to the fun stuff.
If you dont like that, you’re playing that wrong game. Thats how its is and imo thats SO much better than WoWs gearscore bullsh**.
You can show what you’ve achieved. Its actually shown when people look at you. Your dressup/colors/titles/achi points/map compete star/commander icon.
oh and btw, titles can be shown, you’re starting to look very silly with this lack of basic game knowledge.
Crossing the two would mean PvE’ers can look bad kitten in PvP and vice versa without actually doing any of it.
I think you’re misunderstanding his question. He wanted to allow spvp players to use their hard earned skins on boring looking over gear.
Not allow pve players to bring skins into pvp
In my opinion I think they should allow spvp gear to be shown off more than just one tiny confined zone.
I get that, but as soon as you un-separate the two (i.e. allow pvp items to be used in PvE), you’re actually ‘favoring’ pvpers because you’re allowing their hard work to transfer over. If someone does 300 hours of PvP, and can then use those skins in PvE, they just bypassed the 300 hours someone did in PvE to get those same skins.
Now from a PvE’ers stand point, they’ll have to do 600 hours compared to the 300 the PvPer did to get skins in both. Its not fair, unless the PvE’ers could swap over too, which totally destroys the whole purpose of PvP.
The purpose of pvp is to fight other players for fun, skins are a reward and have no effect on pve or pvp at all. You’re arguing that it shouldn’t be allowed because pve players will have to do twice as much work when pvp players would have to do twice as much work to get pve gear, that seems like a pretty kittening even trade to me.
In GW1 pvp players could unlock all pve skins, and if you had collectors edition or any bonus items you could also unlock several pvp-only weapon skins on pve characters. It’s been done before, there is no reason to not allow it other than QQing elitism that some pve kid is wearing YOUR armor set or vice versa.

K, so lets say its implemented tomorrow.

PvP and PvE are seperate for a reason, and always have been. This is a basic design concept for every guild wars title ever developed, and works well. Don’t try to change it.
