I already know there are many posts about these two subjects. Rather than bump two (or several) individual threads, I feel combining the two into one was a better choice. I have read the forum rules and understand them.
Also take your time when you’re posting. Your typos are atrocious and nobody is going anywhere.

My “typos” are just problems of someone who doesn’t speak native english trying to write.. fast.
Sorry about that.
But anyway, this thread doesn’t add nothing constructive about that issues… why you don’t explain more about this instead of correcting people grammar?
No mounts please. As for capes, I did not play GW1, but it seems it was a staple of that game (saw a few videos). So I would say yes to capes.
You need to come up with a more reasonable reason why these two should be added other than just “your game experience”. That just sounds selfish.
Either way, I’m not really for either. Capes weren’t all that cosmetically pretty for me, and only really the warriors seem to look good in them. I wouldn’t wear the cape if they came back.
As for mounts, well… There’s a five page thread on that already.

English is the native language of the forums, and english speakers will understand you better if you type correctly and coherently. I read that straight from the forum rules.
Explain why mounts and capes should be in the game? Sure.
I feel like mounts should be in the game because I have seen them in the artwork for the game. The game is also very, very large. The map expands beyond Skyrim’s size, times twenty, and using only these rather expensive Waypoints to travel to certain parts of the map is not really ideal in my opinion. With mounts, people would spend less time using Waypoints and more time traveling on their horse, looking at the entire world and enjoying the scenery. Having mounts also immerses you into the world and gives you a greater sense of adventure. On top of that, it has been done in many other mmo’s without any hiccups, there’s no reason it can’t be done here, especially with Guild War 2’s amazing art team.
Capes are in Guild Wars and were beautifully animated. Like mounts, they would also add much needed immersion into the game as they are also in the art for Guild Wars 2 and even shown on the artistic loading screens when playing Guild Wars 2. I also see the capes in cut scenes shown in Guild Wars 2 as well. If backpacks can be implemented, and there were capes in the previous game, then there isn’t a doubt in my mind that capes could undoubtedly be introduced into Guild Wars 2 as well.
That’s my explanations on why mounts and capes should be added to Guild Wars 2.

They are working on capes, they go in the back slot but there was a bunch of graphical bugs that came along with them. I’m sure they will be out soon enough.

See? Now this post is more useful.
And thanks for giving me tips abouts writing.. i’m a little bit wiser now
Is there any confirmation that they are working on capes? I have not found any evidence of the sort.
@Fumo: Thanks for the explanations! However, I don’t think Mounts would encourage a majority of its users to look at the world and explore it more in depth. No matter how great, amazing, beautiful, etc. they are, the point of them is to get to destinations faster. If somebody is trying to travel across the whole continent to get somewhere and they use a mount instead of a WP, they are probably not patiently looking at the scenery but instead just waiting to arrive at their destination.
Walking is really the only way to full enjoy the scenery of the game. It’s slower, and you have to cover more ground. Naturally, you’re going to start looking around a little bit. In fact, it’s pretty unavoidable.
For the record: I have only played GW. I have never used mounts before, so I don’t know much about them. All I know is what I’ve read here on the suggestions.
capes might be legit since they were in GW1. However, mounts? i suppose if you want those you will have to go play wow. They have no place in GW, or no need for that matter, not with waypoints.
My own personal experience is proof that players do in fact look at the scenery when riding on their mounts. I am an avid gamer and I have played beautiful MMO’s, like Tera, acquired a mount, and have taken a look at the scenery while riding to my destination. Asura Gates and Waypoints would be good for convenience, but mounts help you get to the areas where there aren’t Asura Gates or Waypoints slightly faster. Sure, running where you need to go makes you take longer and gives you time to look at everything, but when you’re going for practicality and reason, no sensible person in Tyria would run for miles when they could hitch a ride on an animal and get to where they need to go more efficiently. To me, not having mounts seems like a glaring issue in the lore as well.
If I was traveling across Tyria, I would just suck it up and spend the money if I had to get there more quickly. Even if a mount could cut the travel time in half compared to walking, I wouldn’t waste the effort. I’ve already seen the world by walking to all of the waypoints, and if I want to see it again, then I will gladly walk around within each map. But when traveling that far? Mounts are useless. They still take longer than a WP, and if ANet addresses the WP cost issue, the purpose of mounts will just become more cosmetic than anything.
But maybe fans of mounts should look at it a different way. Clearly, the word itself just has some negative connotation to it. How about come up with a better way for travelling in the game that maybe resembles mounts, but doesn’t have everything that everyone seems to hate about it? Like I said… I’ve never used them, and I’m still not entirely sure I know what they are, but there may be an alternative.
