Normally, we want to have participants from all three servers, and therefore don’t take camps or keeps, but since it was all CD last week and we didn’t have enough mesmers to portal all of the yaks across the water, we attempted to take Bay in IoJ BL – which was held by FA at the time.
The herd was culled by FA defenders who fought valiantly against the bizarre ruminant army, but we made it most of the way around the map. Success!

We had it frapsed as well and it’s really cool to see the other side of the video. Our video starts at about 17:40. The language is a little mature for some of the younger viewers.
At this rate, Maguuma will be in T3 next week and either FA or DB will be dropping :o

According to the rankings site, Maguuma is scheduled to be team green in tier 3 next week.
It’s much too early in the week to say anything about how the rankings will pan out by friday.

Rankings site is unreliably until at least 3 days into the match. Rankings are determined by percent differential in scores, therefore in the beginning of the match when scores are relatively small in absolute terms, the differentials will be large in percentage terms causing the predicted rank movements to be a lot more volatile. Not sure why people haven’t caught on to this yet.
Well either way currently one server may drop and that server will be getting hit by Kaineng so best of luck to everyone and hopefully everyone can step it up the tier below us so we can get a couple weeks out of this match up.

I like how proud you guys are of killing a buncha yaks and getting loads of bags from us. I’m not even being sarcastic, it’s hilarious seeing this from the other side and there were a considerable number of both yaks and guards. I wish there was video of you watching our dolyak lineup from the wall though

Thursday is the best day. XD I do wish more people from other servers would join though. It’s more fun that way and we can organize duels and stuff after.
It’s really awesome to see DB bring it, and FA’s new population has put them back in the game – they were relentless before, but now they have both the population and they still have that determination that they had before. It’s a much better match, that is for sure. Good fights to all. May the yaks be with you.

Maguuma has received a ton of transfers and now have the population of a t2 or even t1 server. They were relentless at reset night in t4 last night. And now have hour long queues. So which ever servers out of CD/FA/DB stay in t3 next week, they will be facing Maguuma.
Whichever server loses and drops to t4 will be facing Kaineng next week. Kaineng has risen up in ranks and Ehmry Bay are saying that Kaineng makes Dragonbrand seem like childs play.
SO, prepare to fight even harder next week if you want to stay in t3!!

I’d love to fight Maguuma again. <3 those guys. Too bad most of them would be new faces.. last time we played them [PANG] and [GOON] were still in their prime. Probably the most fun in WvW and forums I ever had. These guys were once the pioneers of stacking (pre-stackgate) and generally being quite sneaky/cheeky, kind of reminded us of ourselves at the time. Our guild still often talks of our matchup against the “goonies” and how great it was. We still have old guild videos of Maguuma charging SMC burning the midnight oil with more golems than people. I wonder if they will dedicate another Ramelot to us?

Fighting MAG this week, and I don’t even reconise vertually any of the guilds I’m fighting there now, keep in mind it’s only 2 weeks since we last faced them on YB, [GOON] has shrunk and are not even 1/4 of the force they once were and rarely have I seen [PANG], although they are still out there some where.
when we fought maguuma a few months back in tier 4, i didn’t see goons that mush, we in KH where sad about that since we hoped for them to bring a fight like they do in EVE.
but ya i am sure they still have a few goons, but it not a power house back when FA did fight them

I hope that’s what they wanted to happen with Maguuma. They always seemed kinda content in T4 trolling around and playing with the Overgrown Grub in EB. It gets pretty nasty above T4 – but who knows, maybe they will be a breath of fresh air/fun ..

also when CDBL crashed last night, KH and another DB guild had the same idea to ninja the bay, we crashed head on to eachother but we came out on top, we really love DB and be sad if we drop to tier 4 since we enjoyed fighting you at the east side of CDBL.
Last time we went against Mag and DB was in T5 where we won by a huge margin (last week of orbs). DB now isn’t recognizable from an NA standpoint. I remember logging in to a red map with no DB in them. Mag made attempts to paint the red maps blue before FA came in and turned it green. Spent the whole week fighting Mag. DB was like a mythical creature that was rarely seen. Our Oceanics remember the DB guilds though lol.
It will be interesting to fight the new Mag. We love their original population. We easily outnumbered them, but they fought hard.
From what I have seen Mag could potentially jump right past tier 3, especially when you put SBI’s decline into the mix, so who knows!!!
All I can say is that I am loving this matchup this week, keep it up everyone!

I wish you would do this during Oceanic primetime. We would love to meat.. err.. meet you all.
CD garr was bugged after the crashed, we had doors going up on upgrades and then server went down, it came back up, doors completed but it didn’t change, we paid for armored doors and still have wood doors it sucked.
thankfly it got fixxed and the keep is now fully upgrade so yay for quick help.
I’m actually expecting a mass transfer from CD over the next few days. There seems to be some psychological need for most players to want to be in at least Tier 3. So with everyone in panic mode over paid transfers they’ll see CD in third and see Maguuma and Kaineng dominating, and decide wow I better get off soon.
We still have one more match reset before the 28th. I think it’s really funny people are already transferring when there’s still plenty of time to make a decision on a permanent home world. Next Friday/Saturday/Sunday, that’s the time you should be transferring if you want to transfer. Not now.
I think FA gunning for first might be a mistake. Would we want an influx of guilds to dilute the core guilds on our server. I’ve seen some of the guilds on CD and they are made of paper. I would hate to see ques on FA locking out some of the surgical strike teams I’ve seen in action. If we do get an influx of paper guilds we need a server website with optimal gear specs listed. Let CD have their Fractal farming players who mosey into WvW and let FA have it’s WvW players Mosey into WvW.

Welcome to Dragonbrand, I haven’t had a chance to fight you much yet, I was on the FA side of CDBL last night, but you’re sticking close in score and that shows you’ve got what it takes.
To FA and the [RET]-led zerg, I am going to love fighting you guys for about a week, during which I’m going to learn all of your tricks and tactics. Then I’d like you to all retire from GW2 and do something less harmful to my repair bill. Underwater basket-weaving sounds like a boom industry right now, I’ve heard…
I never understood how people complained about repair bills and costs exceeding gains in WvW. Then I switched from Engineer to Guardian.

It’s why so many people run a spec that lets them run away from fights as soon as the melee turn into loot bags. If more of them actually had a full set of support skills and cared about what was happening to you in a fight then you wouldn’t die nearly so easily.
But then they would start to feel your repair costs for losing. It isn’t very expensive but the idea of spending more money on repairs than you get from standard drops is intensely unappealing to modern gamers.

I didn’t die very much, it was just a bag recession. It was really more of a whoops in that we ran an all guardian groups which worked fine except oh yeah we have to tag things.
I’ve been having loads of fun running around as a miniature present laden dolyak with fireworks in FABL tonight. I’m trying to get some decent footage of funny sportsmanlike behavior and horrible yakdeaths for the end credits of the upcoming yak parade video. Unfortunately all the best footage of FA players (there were two wonderful players who ran alongside me and cried when I was killed, lol) happened before I learned how to use FRAPS properly! If you are FA and want to be in the video let me know
I had my guild members run in there and kill you lol. Thought this was some kind of RP stuff on FABL while I was sitting waiting to get in in a Queue..

I was wondering if that was you! I saw the tag and tried to /cheer, but by the time I got it off you were already dead and I felt bad… thank you for the green fireworks though!
