So the lag and crashing normal for reset night in T3? I don’t remember it being like this the last time we were here, but that was a long… LONG time ago.

Great fights so far, one of the best reset nights I can recall! Let’s all keep it up!!!

It’s nice seeing DB again as we have something in common. We both reached T2 in our peak. We both suffered from a whole bunch of WvW guilds leaving (ours was admittedly less severe). And we both managed to claw our way back up to T3.

+1! It may have taken some time, but we learned lots on our way back up to this tier, as I’m sure you guys have. Haven’t been this excited about WvW in a while.

For those who are crashing, go to settings and set your fps to 60. it worked for me

Great fight for SMC tonight, i think all 3 servers were fighting in the lords room for an hour or so. I think I helped rez the castle lord like 3 times. Everytime I would enter inner SM it looked empty, then poof a massive blob of red. I can’t believe how bad the map lagged, even when I was just running from overlook to SM. I hope we get a close match the whole week, haven’t had one of those since we fought Mag and YB a few weeks ago.

Great match so far. We defended our borderlands tonight and you guys def gave us a good welcome to tier 3. We managed to regroup though and get some stuff back. alot of back and forth fighting and the 3 servers all fighting in hills was great lol.

This match looks intense at the moment, go DB I’m rooting for u guys!!! I’m interested to see how FA and CD do against the DB oceanic/asian crew. Guess soon things will play out. Be warned CD and FA, DB has large numbers during oceanic time zone!! Good luck.

p.s DB if you want to keep climbing up the tiers you better give this week your all, Kaineng is catching up fast and from what I have heard from my friends in Ehmry Bay is that Kaineng are 10x more deadly than DB and their coordination and skill is extreme. So if you better watch out for them!!! I think they may exterminate your server. Anyways I have to worry about them first since most likely Yaks Bend will be fighting them next week.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Dragon Brand to Tier 3, and invite them, as well as FA, to the fine three-server tradition of the Dolyak Parade.

What is a Dolyak Parade? It is when people from all three servers (or at least, whoever shows up) get together at the end of the week – Thursday – to celebrate Dolyaks, Fun, and Friendly Rivalry. We use ruminant potions to transform into dolyaks, and march around the maps with fireworks, dodging zergs and confusing all those we come across (expect reactions like “Why are you all cows?”), much like a flash mob and ending with a glorious herd culling in which most everyone dies.

It’s a great way to blow off steam after a long week of battles, and also a way to form cross-server friendships (and also sometimes organize duels).

We have formed the Team Dolyak mini guild which people from all servers can join. It disseminates information about the time/location of the flash parade, and free (FREE!) ruminant and other such tonics for all.

Please send me a mail in game if you would like an invite to Team Dolyak! Bring your booze, bring your friends, and get ready to ruuuuuun freeeee, free as the wiiiind blows!

He means the winner of your match will probably be going to tier 2. Since SBI players are all jumping ship. Taking last for the better part of 3 months in tier 1 was understandably too much for them. Most of the wvw guilds and leadership have left. We also got slaughtered when finally moving down to tier 2 in the last match. Though again they keep us there , to be slaughtered for another match. So I wouldn’t worry about anyone moving up. If Anet keeps doing things the same, they will leave us in tier 2 for a few months til the other 1/2 of our population leaves . . .

Had lots of intense fights today, nice loots from kills (charged lodestones ^^), & lots of lolz (Dude running away in a golem. Yes, escaping in a golem. The dude jumped out only when we almost destroyed the golem.) Thanks for the party FA & DB!

At this rate, Maguuma will be in T3 next week and either FA or DB will be dropping :o

First of all, welcome Dragonbrand to tier 3! I’m glad there was FINALLY a change up, though still feel bad for IoJ, as they’ve gone downhill. I hope everyone else is as excited about this match-up as I am. If things stay like they did for reset, then this match-up will prove to be interesting!

I had lots of fun last night on Dragonbrand borderlands, I believe the primary defending Guild was [Krew]? They did a great job in my opinion. Crystal Desert did a good job too, we had a little hiccup at the beginning and then half of my guild, Last Words [LW] got disconnected, including both of our Pins on the map, but we managed to rally and sit at Bay for about an hour or so, staring at the wall HOPING for some action.

Overall a great night, and can’t wait to see how the week plays out!

What’s the purpose of this post? The person you quoted said we would be in T4, they never said it was the “end of the world”, you said that. Kaineng and Maguuma are both doing really good now, so if they move up and are better than us, that would place us in T4 given that you are currently first place in T3. A person makes a logical conjecture and a friendly offer for a rematch and that makes you sad… this post makes me sad.

Welcome to Dragonbrand, I haven’t had a chance to fight you much yet, I was on the FA side of CDBL last night, but you’re sticking close in score and that shows you’ve got what it takes.

To FA and the [RET]-led zerg, I am going to love fighting you guys for about a week, during which I’m going to learn all of your tricks and tactics. Then I’d like you to all retire from GW2 and do something less harmful to my repair bill. Underwater basket-weaving sounds like a boom industry right now, I’ve heard…

Can anybody give a map update? I can’t really log in for a while due to having to go shopping in about 30 minutes, but I’d like to see how our servers are doing. Also DB, you guys are doing an incredible job. Here’s hoping CD doesn’t go up to T2 just yet, because I know we’d love to keep having these fights with you.

I had lots of fun last night on Dragonbrand borderlands, I believe the primary defending Guild was [Krew]? They did a great job in my opinion. Crystal Desert did a good job too, we had a little hiccup at the beginning and then half of my guild, Last Words [LW] got disconnected, including both of our Pins on the map, but we managed to rally and sit at Bay for about an hour or so, staring at the wall HOPING for some action.

[Krew] had one side of our BL.

I was on about from about 7pm to 1am MST last night. I swear we had that Bay wall down for hours, just couldn’t get enough troops over there to take it. At one point someone said they weren’t getting numbers on the treb. I said they must not be hitting because how could a wall be down and you guys still built a WP? I can’t believe how many trebs we built and how long we trebbed it for.

Was definitely a team effort from the 3 of our guilds collectively. [Krew] is a very cooperative guild, and they have a great response time when needed. A very welcome addition to the Dragonbrand family!

I never understood how people complained about repair bills and costs exceeding gains in WvW. Then I switched from Engineer to Guardian.

Switching from Engineer to Guardian isn’t a reason for higher repair bills, switching from a good build to a bad build is. I play guardian and almost never die in WvW, and my play style includes a lot of solo/small group roaming where you inevitably run in to 95% thieves.

My repair bill is due to my playstyle and I accept it willingly. But I normally don’t come out of a BL with less money than I did going in. Until last night fighting FA in the NW quadrant of CDBL.

Most fun i have had in weeks, T3 is fun though the zerg sizes are a bit boring was hoping for more quick strikes of 20 or so not camp zerging with 50 lol. Still it has been a good fight and i hope it continues.

Normally, we want to have participants from all three servers, and therefore don’t take camps or keeps, but since it was all CD last week and we didn’t have enough mesmers to portal all of the yaks across the water, we attempted to take Bay in IoJ BL – which was held by FA at the time.

The herd was culled by FA defenders who fought valiantly against the bizarre ruminant army, but we made it most of the way around the map. Success!
