DB – +4960
YB – +7503
EB – +4629

with the following incomes at the end of the NA prime time.

DB – 215

Seems like DB is where we should be if we count NA prime time only.

Welp had some good fights on DB BL tonight.

Finally died to a few DB thieves….think Duel was the guild tag or something. Guess totally owning 1 of em kinda gets em kitten off

I’ve always liked DB since we played them in the weekly matches (after pretty much their entire NA WvW playerbase left for Sea of Sorrows). They’ve basically been “daycapped” every day for 2 months straight. I like them alot because they just get on with it. They have never complained about us daycapping them, ever. Their NA guys (not the new acquisitions, the guys who stayed on DB when all of their allies left them) have never complained about going 3 to 1 outnumbered or worse.

Its just a shame that DB is big enough now that we cant really compete on numbers anymore. We had great matches.

I miss the matches with Maguuma as well. Even when you had a zerg going, it was always organized and ran around abusing using stacking. Made it difficult to fight, but entertaining nonetheless. If there was no siege around me, I’d always see “Invader” and pray it wasn’t Maguuma (and it almost always was )

Here’s to hoping that Maguuma gets a bit more population going so we can have some more rematches!

Ehmry wasn’t even bothering to treb the northern walls, which was a bit weird since that’s the first thing you do when you play red. When we breached inner SM, Ehmry made no push of their own to take it. Instead they sent a group to cut off Yak’s reinforcements coming into SM.

Later when we had it, they trebbed in earnest, knocking down the north wall and pushing inner hard. Defending it against Ebay allowed DB of course to knock down gates as well, creating a 3 way. Once all 3 teams were inside SM, Ebay decided to give up on SM and golem rush our keep, forcing a number of us to defend it. Essentially handing SM to DB entering their asian prime time.

So, without passing judgement here, just recounting events; that’s what happened. Anyone from Ehmry care to explain your strategy for today?

The only thing I don’t like about DB’s night capping is that our guys don’t get to have the same fun on the karma express in the morning. It’s basically first commander on with enough people to run some rams, and they get all the karma / xp without much of a fight or fun.

I only say this because I think it’s a missed opportunity to get more people to WvW on our server. Newbies love the thrill of feeling like they accomplished something, even if it’s just taking an empty keep. DB seems to have a pretty good system for zerging up and dropping the hammer with a numeric advantage…no fail boat distractions or golem rushes. They just setup all their cats and trebs in good spots, and come strait at you like a train. Wish that was something we were capable of doing.

Second update. We took SM back from Ebay before too long. Ebay began trebbing SM again once we were in possession, attacking when outer went down. We were unable to hold it for long, DB took it. Ebay at that point stopped all treb activity, despite still having trebs set up to hit SM, leaving all of DB available to defend against YB.

Sounds like everybody misses Mag.

I’ve been enjoying this matchup a lot. It certainly feels like we are getting double teamed during the NA prime time hours but probably every server feels that way when they’ve got 2 other servers with full zergs in their borderlands.

I’ve found both Yak’s and EBay to be tough, relentless opponents with creative strategies and strong members carrying them out. Thanks for the matchup, everyone.

Dragonbrand just raided a tower, Cliffside to be exact about 5 minutes ago Majority seemed to be the guild TFK I think it was? Something similar.

Anyway very well done on the tower and all but I would ask you to please keep an eye on your thieves currently in that group we witnessed one of the just run through our gate still up and being seiged to attack our players in the tower a good distance out of any AoE range using an the Arrow cart behind the gate where she shouldn’t have even been able to get to with the gate and walls still up.

She then proceeded to run up the stairs and attack out commander next to the supply depot.

Is there anyone in Dragonbrand I can PM about this I have a list of what I remember of her appearance, it’s not much but well if it was a hack it might help keep your other players out of association with it and out of trouble.

It is possible that the thief could have bugged inside the tower? I have heard of people getting pulled by the invaders inside a tower before past the gate or wall. The thing is that people would expect the person to exit the tower ethically, but would the invaders allow the person to walk out without attacking him/her? :P

I was at that tower assault and did not know anything about it till you mentioned it here. Either way, there is not much that can be done unless you have a screenshot. I dont think someone is going to get kicked out of a guild based on a verbal description and without physical proof.

Being pulled through would suggest they were knocked down with the pull right? But it appeared as if they came through running not on knockdown. To be honest I thought it was just a summoned Illusion from a Shatter mesmer that had done something strange at first and probably still would if they hadn’t started using Thief skills. I’d ask the guy on the Arrow Cart who got attacked to comment but I’ve already forgotten his name so I’d have to go spam team chat again to find out who he was.

The problem is there are many ways it could happen but the way we saw it was that they came from our entrance, Stealthed and attacked the Cart user that is all I can offer I know not much and makes it sound like I’m whining, said I hated being this guy right?

And no I agree no one will or should be kicked but it might raise awareness in one way or another and if it was a glitch or hack catch them out next time or discourage them from doing so again which would be my goal here.

I’m hanging around still so if I notice anything again i’ll see if I can sort you out with a screenshot though it’s awkward for my computer strange key bindings, if not just might be something to keep one eye out for tonight just in case.

Stone Mist was the only thing breaking a tie.
That’s a pretty solid equilibrium.

I learned to fear Mag during that time and I almost gave up on WvW. It was very dark times on Dragonbrand.

It was crazy last night. After the 3 way in the Lords for like 10 minutes our commanders told us to pull back and let EB and YB fight over it. Much later when we took it back EB was trebbing the north wall and had it down for a long time, but troops never came. I’ve not played eternal a lot (I mainly run on our BL), but the fights for SM did seem very strange. DB didn’t have a lot of players so we mainly rotated back and forth on the 2 south supply camps keeping them open while another group was up north trying to take towers. DB was spread very thin till I logged off at 4am MST.

This week has been a very fun matchup, there is definitely no lack of competition. Looks like we will be seeing this matchup for at least a couple of weeks.

About 10mins ago, krew a few others were on yaks borderlands, we took 2 camps and had the lake tower gate down to 10% with breakout event when some random guildless thief went running across the wall. Obv he exploited in and we dont knw how he did. We sent reports in and we left yaks borderlands so u can get the camps back and repair the wall and gate or retake it if it did flip. Sorry some1 would do that. Makes no sense esp since the gate was at 10% anyway…..

@Hadan: Awesome to hear what you guys did and from YB I say TY.

@ Furey & ChapDev: If it was an ability, such as shadow step, then I would of expected that person to do what the guys and gals of [HIRE] from EB did when it happened to them, which was find the quickest way outta the tower and go back to sieging it propperly. But since it was said they started attacking from within, I’m hoping people got the SS’s and fraps and time stamps and reported the lil bugger

Before this event happened EB got almost overwhelmed everywhere forcing the ppl still playing to concentrate on holding BL and while keeping a foothold on EB. It was a very impressive push in EB by YB/DB that lasted for hours. There was hard fighting and the ppt lead kept swinging between YB and DB with EB a close* third (at times – sometimes as low as 120pp). EB was trying to simply hang on everywhere. If some pugs managed to delay a few YB reinforcement heading to the castle .. shrug. Might as well ask every last single player from all servers what they were doing. Just guessing here but it seems that both DB and EB were low in numbers during the time YB was pushing to capture the castle.

@Bunzy — Yup! NoQQ is on Devona’s Rest now. Or at least the majority so far. Using some personal time to network a bit and meet some more peeps while they have some fun over yonder with LARP.

At around 8:55pm PST Yak’s Bend took SM from us with a hidden mesmer (or two).

Normally I would commend them for this.. but let me tell you, we had at least 10 people sweeping SM for the entire time that we owned it. I received reports of a mesmer inside once.. who was glitched inside a “false wall”. When he was spotted, he moved somewhere else and we never found him again.

I’d like to believe this was a legitimate ninja of SM, but I guess we’ll never really know. In any case, I hope you guys are policing the methods used by your mesmers.

The thing about mesmer sweeps in a place like SM is that you need to know where to look. I wouldn’t put it past yaks to know some of the good spots in inner SM.

You can spend hours looking for all the mesmer spots in SM and still not get them all.

well this one was done by going to the 2nd floor of SM then going up the ramp to the Third floor not all theway up but most of the way up the ramp to where the balchonie is their is an invisible wall that u can walk through and then its hug the wall to a certain spot which i dont know where yet but their are a few then running and jumping till u fall through ill post a video up later when i get my new recorder up or i might use fraps either way ill show it to anet so they can fix it but come yakes really if you have to cheat to beat us u are like lower than scum

While that may be true (and extremely annoying in itself), I don’t like hearing that someone was standing inside of a “false wall” which you can walk into and completely hide yourself (or in this case, with your name tag sticking out). Other WvW forts have areas like this as well.. and all of them are considered exploits.

There really aren’t that many legitimate places in SM where you won’t be spotted by a concerted sweeping effort.

It’s not necessary to insult YB over this issue, because all of our servers have exploiters.. or people who don’t realize they are exploiting. But I want to be sure that everyone is paying attention to what their Mesmers are doing.

If 10 people sweep SM entirely there is no mesmer who can hide so well to not be found.. I hope this thing about fake walls is not true.. because if it is Anet need to fix it asap.. and people shouldn’t exploit this bugs to get the advantage of a secure mesmer portal anytime they want it
