Beautiful fight this week! I don’t care if we finish third, I’m having a blast.

We had a war going on yesterday in EB laste in the evening, and it was a lot of fun. We were trying to get OgreWatch, but BP had some good defence and good number. We got pushed, we tried to take the supply next to Ogre and we got attacked from each side by BP.

We didn’t succeed in our attack, but Green had been attack SM and Red at the same time, and they took a lot.BP went to defend vs Green, and we finally could take Ogre Watch.

Too bad, Green decided to also attack us, and took some of our territory.

The rest of the time, we defended Ogre Watch and we had a 3 way fight right next.

That was awesome! That was the perfect place : in a 3 way crossroad, each server on one side. No one could push up without both server attacking. A lot of kill, a lot of blood, but I had to log in this great fight.

I don’t understand where this comment of yours or perception is coming from. Let me tell you what SoS did yesterday.

First we pushed GOM out of anvil rock borderlands, since they owned the bottom half of our map.

We then transferred to EB, where they owned everything of Anvil Rock, we lead a force not only to retake everything we own, but then pushed them back to their own spot, which we took two of their towers. I then noticed you guys doing the same thing to a tower up north against them, so I decided to lead them straight into your zerg. we lost in that batte, you just had more than us. Afterwards we waypointed back to Anvil Rock borderlands where we had to push Borlis out of the map, because now you guys owned the bottom half. We then went to GOM and took our spots in their map, and DB. Then some how, even on our alts lol we took the orb from them after reset, ninja’d it with a small force, and lost it again after they broke into DB.

So all in all, it was a great day for the guild, and we had alot of fun, we had no intentions of anything for both sides, no hate here, just looking for any oppurtunities and we took it.

GoM just doesn’t have the numbers that it used to because a lack of intelligence all around. GoM unfortunately had some orb hackers / exploiters (just like every server) – which has apparently permanently tainted the name. The only big Wv3 guilds hopped off, leaving the rest of us to play with an extremely diminished group of people. When I left, I no longer saw any commanders in Wv3.

If GoM is suddenly doing well (after they have been blown out and shut down the last 2 match ups,) I would wager that they got some transfers, and good for them. They need it! GoM has a good community there, and they don’t deserve the tag on their name – and if they do – all servers do.

I don’t think it has to do with GoM having transfers or being better this week

And it isn’t mean to be an insult to them, it just how this tier work.

In this tier, we are a lot weaker then any tier above. There is a big gapse between us and any server going down from the upper tier. So each week, we get stomped by the bigger server.

Now that GoM dropped in our tier, they might looks to do better, but I’m not sure about it. They might be just as good as last week, but they are fighting weaker server.

But it’s a good thing really, GoM might have lost guilds and all, but it’s one of the first competitive match we had in this tier since release.

For that, I thank you GoM! Your fair weather player are gone, but trust me, it’s better without them!

We’ve been placed in brackets against servers that we had no business competing against. It wasn’t because we lacked skill…it was a matter of WvWvW population and an inability to have 24×7 coverage. This week’s match up has been awesome…we’re competing against servers on an even footing and loving the actual pvp we’re being able to take part in. And, to your comment about “lack of intelligence all around” – this week has seen a marked improvement in tactics, a lack of mindless zerging and an increase in real organization on the server. This is no slight on you Osskil, or any one else, but since we’ve seen the mass exodus of so many guilds from GoM…the level of play has actually gotten better.

Honestly, I don’t think that the faithful of GoM really care what bracket we’re in. The top tiers with all of the server transfer drama can keep all of that chaos up with them. We’re more than happy to be in the bracket we’re in doing actual pvp. Those of us who refuse to abandon our server are not concerned with the “glory” of being a top tier W3 server (what ever that really means in the great scheme of things), but are more intent on actually being able to take part in balanced battles and rigorous combat. So, for anyone reading this…we don’t feel bad, or want anyone’s pity for not being in the top tiers. We’re very happy to finally be settling into a bracket where we can actually participate in WvWvW rather than watch karma hungry murder machines zerg through the maps from our citadel.

Good game so far and a salute to Borlis Pass and Anvil Rock for the great fights!

Not saying the people on GoM are unintelligent – I am stating that the idiots that tarnished the name by exploiting, and the sweeping generalization that GoM has a hacker server due to this – that’s the lack of intelligence I am referring to!

Not stating that the big Wv3 guilds leaving would make you worse – only that there were some big numbers associated with it. I believe [PRO] was 300+ members, weren’t they? And unfortunately whenever you see a big exit by a guild like that, you’ll find people that ride their coat tails. But at least to [PRO]s credit – they moved DOWN in tiers to compete instead of hopping straight up and trying to be a part of T1.

Maybe that tier is where GoM belongs – and if so that’s cool. The community there is great, and I am happy to see them doing well (I have family that plays on that GoM :p )

We were discussing the reputation of the server. How about you stop posting your silly pictures and focus on playing – because how I see it – GoM has pretty easily closed the gap that you guys generated.

If someone lost a held point, I’m pretty sure it is easy to figure out how – someone took it. How you took it doesn’t matter.

No matter how you look at it – GoM is closing the map – and so is AR.

Yes, the both of you. Attacking Borlis Pass at the same time. Sure GoM is catching up in score, I wonder why. Sure isn’t the amazing fight AR is giving us unlike you GoMs. Night final time.

I am Anvil Rock.

I have grown to RELISH the thought of fighting Borlis Pass! When I see BP invaders on the screen, my vision turns crimson and I can’t even stop myself from rushing a zerg. If I down one toon in a zerg, I get a HUGE sense of satisfaction. If I win whether solo or in a group, it’s sheer enlightenment. It’s as if I start out in wvw feeling small and insignificant, but with every BP I down I am more powerful until I finally log out with an immense sense of accomplishment!

Last week it was us against Borlis. There may have been another server, but they were just a hurdle to go past so that I could fight the real enemy. This week, again just AR and BP, at least that’s how it is with me.

It’s not because BP has offended me in any way, or that they have cheated or used questionable tactics. But there is animosity.

WvW is not just business and it’s not just tactics. There’s no double team. It’s me and BP.

I am Anvil Rock.

It’s ok Osskil. GoM doesn’t really have a great over night presence. But…within the next 12 hours, when the GoM machine starts waking up and storming back into the borderlands…then I’m sure that a bit of Hakato’s bravado is going to evaporate. GoM is here to fight this week…and it’s going to take more than an over night zerg fest to dampen our spirits.

And, honestly, AR and GoM haven’t been coordinating attacks against BP – that’s just silly paranoia. But…if that justification makes it easier for you to sleep then by all means go with that train of thought.

GoM definitely lacks the late crew. I play at stupid late hours even though I am on CST – and was always one of the few on at night for GoM. I am happy to see them throwing down. And I do hope that AR teams up with GoM, all is fair. All servers with any kind of blowout should adopt this – team up and level the field, then go back to a free for all.

Or just leave the illusion of it so people get paranoid/frustrated!

Make it happen. Get a commander from each side to team up, take over the maps 50/50 – and then fight each other. Nothing like trolling a whole server.

Well, you folks were blabbing on about stuff no one besides yourselves care about. No need to get defensive about it.

Score pictures are actually useful. I check this thread maybe once a day while I’m at work to see how the battlefield has changed.

It’s been a fun week so far. Things are definitely more enjoyable when the scores are at least close between all servers.

I check these threads every break at work, I like to see score updates. The drama is a bonus. With close scores and over 3 days left it should feel like BP is being double teamed the most and GoM should feel it a bit too. It seems like the night crews keep things the most even betwen these three servers, but BP has more of a presense during the evenings, with GoM having more during the day.

I’ve had a lot of fun so far this week, thank you GoM and AR.

I played on GoM since launch. I was having a good conversation with GoM players until one of your BP players decided to pop off at the mouth instead of focusing on not losing to GoM. But by all means, keep talking here so you aren’t focused on the match, bro.

You’d actually be surprised how hard it is for BP overnight. You just have no idea. Your entire force was in eternal trying to cap everything and FIST took advantage of the situation with 4 golems. Do not claim ‘night-capping’ on this issue. The sad part is we took your borderlands over with 10-15 people and were outnumbered but we still wiped you a few times. You want to get better as a server then try and get some more PvE guilds involved and show them how fun and how much karma you can get from a raiding party.

This is WvW, not QvQ.

I didn’t see any AR talk again BP every other week that you finished under us on the scoreboard. Now that you are ahead of us, you are just better and you can wipe us 10 vs 40.

Well, I think if 15 people take an entire borderlands that deserves a pat on the back, and if those 15 people did wipe a 20-25 man zerg a couple times that deserves a pat on the back.

Claim me to be as you say it, then so be it. If you don’t like the truth then next over-night, stop us. People can be nice on this forums but what is good sportsmanship if you don’t give good feedback.

So my ego isn’t big, it is just the truth, deal with it.

15 vs 20 isn’t really all that much to pat yourself on the back about to be honest. Your ego is inflated, that’s all. I would not be surprised if GoM overruns you and AR makes a big comeback. Do your best to not get complacent.

I am telling you that from previously playing on GoM, they do NOT have a great night population. There are players there, but there is a significant difference between even 10pm and 12am.

Played is past tense. I moved to CD because IRL friends moved. I actually did my best to try to unite GoM and help alliances get moving after the main Wv3 guilds left the server.

I will talk about this match in this thread as I please, as this is a Wv3 discussion in a Wv3 threat on the Wv3 board. Sorry if you’re offended if an outsider is joining in the talks, but you can take your petty nonsense elsewhere.

If you are claiming that you are being outnumbered by a server that lacks Wv3 presence, you need to work harder to get people in from PvE.

So…why is it that BP is getting so defensive? AR and GoM are just here saying that we’ve been having a blast in this week’s match up.

If you’ll notice, GoM has admitted to having little to no overnight presence. So…we lose a lot over night to servers that do. Nothing special, or anything to get all worked up over. On the flip side of the coin, our PT presence is bigger and we have been taking back pretty much everything that is lost to the overnight zergs. Again…nothing special, but just the way things work out.

Having said that, however, I’ll admit to going out of my way to avoid fighting with AR players. Not because I don’t enjoy the combat…but rather “…The enemy of my enemy is my friend…” But, in those instances where we did have to face off against each other…my hat is off to the AR forces! The same goes for those people from BP who have been fighting with honor and drive this week, but since you’re in the lead point wise…that target you have on your back is there to stay.

I don’t think any sane person would Looks like you guys are giving GoM their first good match up in a long time. Went from blowing out Sorrow’s Furnace to getting murdered by SoR, then again by Yak’s. I usually see nothing but friendly people in the bottom tiers, and there is awesome server loyalty there.

Yesterday, during primetime, the numbers looked really even between our 3 server. Well at least in EB. We had outmanned buff for a bit, then BP got it for like 5-10 min too, so it was all fair.

And don’t worry, I won’t judge BP over Dirtyklingon, Plok or Hakato. They have been posting thing like that since launch, in every match up. I know the rest of PB is really great, and have really good player.

@Khalic: No, no. The rivalry that has been established here is completely friendly and borne out of excellent competition, good sportsmanship and friendly ribbing. Neither BP nor AR have engaged in any type of grand-standing, chest beating, spawn camping or other crass behavior during this bout – opposed to some other servers GoM has recently had the displeasure of being matched against.

All sides have kept the battle clean so far. Let’s keep it up!

Every instance of AR helping out GoM must be pure coincidence.

We had a great day yesterday too. Your day must have gone south at champion spider :P

Not taking anything away, this is the most fun we have had in any of the past weeks. the servers are easily the closest match population wise of any match in recent weeks. Ebay and NSP jsut have so many kitten people.

No one is trolling me, that’s for certain. But apparently someone that used to play on a server that is commenting and congratulating said former server is frowned upon in this establishment. Sorry to get under those select few from BP’s skin.

That being said – again – I fully encourage GoM and Anvil to take over 1st and 2nd place and make a game out of this. Very proud of GoM having a good showing.
