Uhhh, getting a rare is probably 1/500, getting an exotic is probably 1/2500, haven’t seen a precursor yet from all my kills and not seeing anyone spamming a precursor drop in wvw for a kitten long time, so yeah, precursor maybe 1/250000, at least.

I’ve gotten 2 precursors in 38,717 kills, if that helps you any. Lost track of all the exotics and rares though.

Doesn’t it also depend on how long the guy you killed had stayed alive previously? The longer he remains upright and not face down in the dirt, the higher the chance of a better reward?

Only WXP, I don’t think it effects bags. But then again I haven’t heard of anything either way…

Oh wow you’re lucky :p I’ve gotten like 4 exotics and 30 rares from 32000 kills.

In the end getting precursors is all based on luck, some might get one in their first 10 kills while others might not get one in 1 million kills.

0 precursors in 96,173 kills.

Calvin got a precursor last week i think, it was the spear gun :/ but it was still a precursor.

I got a precursor (trident, boo) somewhere around 25k kills. But some of my guild mates have picked up really valuable precursors.

In my experience precursors seem to come most often from tower/keep lords. Just anecdotal evidence though.

1k+ hours, 22k+ kills, ridiculous number of PvE world events done and 0 precursors. I have probably gotten a couple dozen exotics in total. Nobody in my small guild has seen one either and we probably total around 8k hours in the game.

Loot in this game blows and IMO a weak part of the game. None of my gear across my 80s is from loot drops.

Its so much easier to TP flip and buy precursors. I honestly don’t think I will ever get a precursor in a drop. But I can earn enough gold in a week by TP flipping to buy any precursor I want.

I know 12 people who had a precursor drop in WvW. I am at 45k kills and had around 8 exotics and 100s of rares. Still waiting for dem precursors =3.

5k kills, 2~3 exotics and A LOT of greens.

Who cares about precursors, exotics, and rares. Arent we all here to just have fun?

Well precursors are meant to be somewhat rare…and they are. It’s a good thing.
I haven’t dropped any either, but i don’t really care ^^

I’ve gotten a precursor from a keep lord since it seems they drop them more frequently.
