Yeah. I found that when we were matched up V TC and YB, there was less useless rage on our matchup threads. I’m surprised this one hasn’t been closed too, with the random attacks on other players that everyone is so hell bent on making. People need to relax.

It’s probably going to be random rage targeted at YB next week.

The funny part is that the first thread was locked due to CD infighting, not because of what you are talking about. Maguuma hasn’t played Yak’s Bend in a long time, so I don’t know what to think of them now. They must have come a long way to be fighting in T3 though, because we beat them last time. We don’t hate all servers that outnumber us, either. A lot of us like Fort Aspenwood quite a bit despite them massively outnumbering us (seemingly), because their coordination is pretty insane compared to ours.

Well, they have pretty equal, if not stronger presence than CD at all times, other than our night/early morning crew. TC is the same way.

Plus, what I’m talking about, is everyone who comes on here, just says they don’t care about winning, and then blindly attacks any player that isn’t on their server, for whatever reason. If it isn’t that they want to win, or they’re mad they’re losing or something, what is it? They want to come on here and just be kitten like that?

I understand that all of the higher tier servers have higher population than either Maguuma or Ehmry Bay, but that’s not (entirely) what people are complaining about. I don’t feel like going down that road again though, so take it as you will.

Some people like to troll, it’s a fact of life. It’s not like CD is exempt from that, given at least one person has admitted to openly trolling us to elicit a response. A lot of people just need to lighten up (including me, I’m sure) and relax. I thought both of the videos posted by Cain were pretty funny. Would it be less funny if it was about our server? Slightly, yeah. But who doesn’t find quaggan knocking people off cliffs funny? It doesn’t matter who “started it” in the forums PvP since we’re (hopefully) no longer in third grade. If people want to participate in a crapfest that someone else started, it doesn’t make them any better.

To that mesmer from Maguuma with the guild tag [KiLL] which I believe was Killers in lost lore. Way to go, teach us the secret on how you went inside our fully upgraded Longview tower, open a portal, then quickly jump back outside to bring the whole force in.

I think it’s just that a lot of people take the game far too seriously and don’t understand sportsmanship. You see that a lot in internet gaming, though less in some professional gaming circles. Thankfully it’s kinda frowned upon in some circuits, but it’s still prevalent in others.

This goes on all sides, even for people on my own server. It’s meant to be fun and while competition is fun to many, getting too serious will just lead you to getting hugely invested and when you investment crashes (and it eventually will, every server gets its butt handed to it eventually), you act out and look for a reason to vent, which usually aims it at other people.

And that ruins everyone’s day.

And it’s too bad. WvW can be fun, even if you’re getting your butt whooped. I enjoy smacking down people who are trying to take me down, even if I die. I enjoy trying to take a keep even if I wrack up a huge amount of repair bills. I enjoy helping out the random NPCs patrolling the area. I enjoy just running around doing the JPs.

Thus that’s why I do WvW. It’s just unfortunate that people have to cheat, be bad sports and, in general, bring bad attitudes to a really fun activity.

If you’re not having fun unless you’re winning or coming out ahead (and this applies to all servers), that’s a really unhealthy attitude.

Lmao. Basically through a roundabout way you’re TRYING to argue mindless zerg tactics even lead to better score. They don’t, and you’re not winning from tactics, you’re blind and delusional if you think that. If you were fighting on our side and in a voice chat for even an hour you’d see that, I guarantee it. ONLY to lose it 5 mins later to 5 people because every single one of your zerg ran all the way across the map to take Ebay’s keep when you could have left a few people to start trebbing our last keep from that tower and saved an hour and uncounted lives… or at least held it with 1 man and an arrow cart which would have also cut off our only supply (at the time). And after finally taking our keep in an hour long battle, a repeat performance on that tower that you lost…

But no. Ignore the fact that we’re outnumbered 3 or 4 to 1 holding a keep and multiple towers (and retaking them) in EBG for 3 or 4 hours. Our ‘apathy’ vs your sheer determination is the reason you took them in the end! Ok, it’s more fun this way

Maguuma wants badges. CD wants towers and keeps. Everyone’s happy.

The idea that a chopped up vid of you pushing people off a cliff would make me mad, is odd. I don’t care about individual fights. Did you hold the tower or not?

If you’re weren’t defnding it, it’s even worse. Now it just sounds like you spent 30 minutes in a tower and never made an attempt at capturing it. Waste of time.

Actually the insane focus on winning at all costs is part of what went wrong with mainstream gaming. Gamers used to police themselves and you got a reputation for being a kittenhat. Having a bad reputation was a big thing too, you got KOS’d and ostracized. Now people expect mods and devs to do all the work while they attempt to exploit every little thing just so they can stroke thier own kitten. This raises the % of kittenhats and limits the gameplay allowed to us because it gets abused too much (followed by massive whining). Heck we are not even mature enough to get enemy names anymore, safe in anonymity.

Alot have people have forgotten what playing games for fun, even competitively, is all about. I feel sad for these people because they will never ever be satisfied and will almost always think they are far better than they are.

Is it just me, or has the glitching this match been out of control? The other day on Ebay borderlands, we had two different glitchers from two different sides in either keep at the same time.

ah, there is one thing you don’t know about CD players. while we are playing WvW, we farm exp/karma as well. to farm exp/karma you have to capture. to capture something it must be at the hands of the enemy beforehand. so by leaving the tower unprotected, we kind of let you take it so that we can take it back from you and farm more exp/karma again….. ever notice green arrow on many CD players ?

we only protect strategic positions….

I think the lesson that people need to learn is that Maguuma has two u’s not one.

I thought that as we moved down the tiers the forum crying would go away since I assumed it wouldn’t be as competitive, but Ebay and Maguuma proved that I was way off base. Then again, they are probably sore from losing almost every week since the launch of this game so maybe it makes sense. By the way, thanks for all the badges you guys gave me in the JP. Don’t worry about losing, you will get better with time! I berieve in you Kyru!

I was dying when I saw the quaggan tonic + pirate leg to knock someone off the ledge. I didn’t know you could use item weapons while in tonic form. Time to plan I’m from Mag and I have a lot of respect for Shadowmoon

obviously taking advantage of those leet bonuses to pve and/or craft before reset today……..duh!
so go ahead and knock yourself out. We need to enjoy the bonuses while we can as somehow I doubt we will have that much this next matchup since it seems CD is always the server that is double teamed or ganged up on.

edit: looking closer at that screenie I see we didnt lose SMC last night as the servers went down mid fight. I bet that just chaps the heck out of both MAG and EB hide as both had a good fighting chance to take it there although I think EBmade it into lord room more times and died than MAG did.
