I play on Gandara, this is the second week IN A ROW that we have the same servers matchup.
I am not complaining about that, since last week was a close run won by FortRanic in the last 12h of WWW, even if Gandara’s players are fewer, not 24h up, and against 2 FR servers…

I am complaining about an other aspect of the game, 100% map complete.
Since i am not one of those who " exploited " if we can say so, in the last weeks to complete 100% map by switching across servers, i am quite pissed of to see that probably i will not be able to achieve this again for an other week.
Luckly i got 100% map complete on eternal battle ground some week ago when Gandara conquered everything there.
At this moment i miss 2 view points INSIDE JadeSea GARRISON. And i think is clear that taking a GARRISON on a ENEMY border is impossible for small groups.
Plus i can’t check from outside the WvsWvsW if our server have captured that garrison, so every time i should try to enter in WWW ( queue sometimes), check if the garrison is still RED, if not do something else, and so on..

Last week i was hoping that in this week matchup, at least my server had a " color switch " since we were the " blue server " , i though that maybe we could be the red one in this week so getting those vistas could be rater easier.

I don’t want to switch server just cause of that, and than wait 7 days to come back on my server and play with my friends again.

Please consider to make servers also to switch colors from a week to an other, in your server matchup, for next game updates.
This should give more possibilities to complete 100% world map.

Same here. I just think it’s not fair. Playng against 2 french servers it means a total loss. Obviously they won’t bother eachothers and infact we are the only ones who suffer a lot on this situation for another week. The worst problem is that who need the vistas or the poi’s inside the enemy garrisons will not even have a chance to get it. It’s not something about skill or organization.
It was fair to give us a fair chance like all the others players to get the 100% world achievement before the incoming event.
We will not.

I’d love to believe this whole thread is sarcastic… but it’s getting harder and harder…

Swap server to jade sea for a week. Problem solved.

C’mon guys, this is the WvW forum. There’s a lot wrong with WvW at the moment, but I don’t think map completion is really up there with the more important issues.
I’m slightly embarrassed to see this here, being from Gandara myself.

It’s all about timing my friend. We had JS garrison just two days ago.

Edit: Colour is based on rank so yea it does change. As it stands right now we’ll be red next week buuut we still have all week so it could change.

I just think that since 90% map complete so far is done in PVE where you can do everything on your own basically whenever you want to do it, it’s just disappointing to force player to do WvsWvsW to achieve the 10% left when there are objectives involved that could require a lot of organization by many players.

Lloantix ( don’t worry i still love you as commander =P ) said " it’s about timing " is right but not everyone have the time or want to check WvsWvsW frequently just to see if he can take a vista or whatever.
Plus going into a border sometimes involves queue…
Switching into an other server just because you can’t do something on your own server is a poor solution, and forces people to play on an other server for 1 week now.

I also think that most who don’t think about this, are those who completed the map with the old method keeping switchin’ from a server to an other to do that. I know by saying so that i’ m kind provoking but i just feel that’s what a lot of people did…

Ok i give that, probably me as other players have missed our chance to get those vistas more than a time, but what if someone starts to play now? What if reroll with a new character?
Think about this, it’s a GARRISON on an ENEMY border, and nowdays we are matched up against server with almost the same force of our.
Is kinda difficult to take a garrison with this conditions, and is even more difficult to hold it for few hours.
We are not playing against a server where 20 people rifledrop after 2 hours from the server reset.
This is not something that takes time alone to achieve, as the PVE part of the map completition.This is something that it may happen, it may happen once a week, twice a week, or never.
It may happen whenever during the day… it may happen while your are playing but you are doing other stuff.

Plus the only way to check the map status of WWW is to join WWW, or refer by a guild mate or friend already inside… you can check the whole world map from outside of the WWW and get everything to 90%… at that point you must be inside WWW to see if you can do what you you are still missing..

I still need vista’s and poi in FR Garisson.
Yeah it sucks that it’s exactly the same setting again, the least I expected is that the colors would have been changed…

Well it’s a 100% completion, players that just started won’t expect to have completed it in a day… and contrary to what you are saying, in most match up it’s easier to take an ennemy’s garrison than to defend your own due to how the BL maps are made… ^^

yea but AT LEAST when the server restart that garrison is already yours, and you can time it up join the border at 1.00 on saturday run into the garrison take what you need and it’s done.

It’s far more different than going into the ENEMY border run to the garrison try to cap it etc.

Well, we successfully captured and held Jade Sea Garrison today for a few hours so it isn’t impossible…
And I’m in the same boat as you here – I miss red keep on Eternal Battlegrounds for map completion.

I don’t even know what I need but I know as I’ve leveled in WvWvW, my map completion is far from done, especially in PvE… patience is a virtue and sometimes we just gotta ask and say “Hey, can we try for this on reset?”

I know one of my guildies has gone to Jade Sea for a week to complete their map which shouldn’t have to happen for map completion but as we’re up against servers that have more numbers than us and suspiciously appear to be attacking our bigger targets at the same time, it’s just not possible.

So the other two teams are double-teaming you and you are complaining you are still blue? You do know that red is the lowest team right?

Honestly if you dont WvW enough to be online when / if we capture the points you need you should transfer for a week. It feels dirty but you get it out of the way. Next week we’ll drop a bracket so you may have more luck. I need same points on one of my characters but it can wait.

As for the french teams doubling up on us thats a nonsense they just see us as the easier target. Our keeps, towers etc are less upgraded than theirs.

Yea fair enough Piddu I understand that you shouldn’t have to check frequently but alas; it seems to be the only way. It’ll be worse this week. Gandara Morale is significantly lowered by having to fight the same servers again, especially now that Ranik got their nightforce back (Where DID they go during the first week? Help Viz and Arbor with desolation? the matches were running at the same time if you transferred mid week).
Well Gandara tends to lose one week then win the next as it stands due to being better than the tier below but not good enough for the tier we’re in now. While yes the first round of FR vs JS vs Gandy was extraordinarily level, that week the Fort Ranik night team was definitely not there, when they are this week :P. So I suppose you could hope for next week to be a Gandara Roflstomps week.

Let’s hope so Lloantix! I’m one of the unlucky few who missed when we had most of EB a while ago. Been sitting on ~100% exploration done w/ the exception of just two POIs and one Vista north of our section in red’s zone (Jade Sea if I’m not mistaken) for more than two weeks now.

I actually really enjoy the WvW, but having focused for quite a while to finally get the 100% done and over w/ it’s frustrating to pop in 3-4x a day and never seeing a change. I’ll start participating more for real once this is finally done, been refusing to “cheat” and swap server and being this close I just refuse to do it now. Especially w/ the increased cooldown added to transfers.

Sadly it seems we dropped not only one, but two ranking spots and are now green.

I’ll never get those two POIs it seems. Should’ve realm hopped like everyone else when there was no cooldown or just 24 hours, it just felt wrong.
