Again, I can’t overstate how awesome this match has been. I’ll be sad to see it end on Friday, even if next week promises to be even more brutal.

Just brutal pragmatism. Yak’s Bend has been nothing but courteous when we run jumping puzzles together. Crystal Desert is fielding guild groups to lock out our PvErs and folks looking to make Legendaries – one of our foremost backers, at least financially, in our WvW efforts. If they’re dissatisfied, we’re dissatisfied, and we act thusly, in the name of Buttered Justice.

So when CD camps a puzzle it is this huge, offensive insult… but when TC does it for hours its just “convenience” and “payback”.

Well, only mad because you insist on poking people and calling them names. You like to point fingers but never really respond to other people calling you out for your own hypocrisy… so sad… Don’t accuse others of being the ones responsible for threads being closed. You’re just as much to blame. You antagonise people.

And don’t sugarcoat anything. It’s clear you think that TC is dirt on your shoe. We’re working on review cards so that after each matchup, the other servers can rate us!

You misunderstand. We’re not mad. Disappointed, annoyed, sure.

But when entire guild groups go out of their way to camp a jumping puzzle, then harassing the people they kill with insults and mockery in tells, it warrants action.

Well it’s settled then, I think I will spend the rest of my time building some siege in the jumping puzzle.

It’s just doubly funny when it’s the losing server, that’s all. If the dominating server is doing it, I’ll say they’ve earned it to an extent. It’s part of completing the shutout and part of dominating the map. The losing server who complains about having no presence and its enemies zerging all over? It’s kind of like this little kid nobody likes retreating to his little corner and staking a claim and feeling good about it. I don’t know how to put it from our perspective when we are dominating CD on eb and people report massive CD presence griefing the puzzles…amusement? Sympathy?

Oh, and triply funny when they then have the gall to pop on the forums with the “you mad?” card. Someone tell them that’s not the card you play in last place talking to first. I don’t think we’ve ever faced a server that habitually and maliciously camps the puzzle this badly, so this is new territory to us. You experienced tier 2 players at CD will have to forgive us greenhorns for not being used to this…perhaps tier 4 could use the same lesson in due time.

Do you seriously want me to go through all your posts and quote them here? You have been mouthing off since last week and are the reason the previous thread was closed. I chat with people from YB and CD all the time. I’ve made some good friends this week from the competition. In the end I realize it is a freaking game though.

I dislike the idea of PvE in a WvW zone, with a Q. That said I have only stepped into one puzzle once, to see what they are, and then walked out again.

I really can’t see why people wouldn’t expect campers. Every choke point in every PvP game I have ever played in had some. Most people are out in the real battle.

We should have something like a treaty or sort of “code of conduct” in this thread…. I know all is fair when it comes to war, but there’s still things that shouldn’t be condoned like hacking/exploits. Everything else, I’m pretty sure people can talk it out in here. Figure out what’s acceptable and what’s not….

I’m a TCer and your reason is both pathetic and lame, nor have I ever heard any talk about “oh hai guyz, lets bump them down because of the puz!” and if that IS your reason, you guys should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. Yaks tend to fight harder and have more players on for a longer period of time. In a war of any kind it makes sense to take from the weakest enemy first before you move on to the stronger ones. Especially when the goal of the game is to make the most points in order to win.

But CD already knows this because they use our down time to their advantage to roll across our map when we don’t have a lot of players on. That doesn’t really bother us too much because we know that later on during our prime time we will take it all back and then take your stuff too.

Today on CD BL…
Hard work to hold both ennemiesthat keptraiding us all the time we lost all map and took it back and lost it again…
But at least only one TC move has been very tactical.
While they took out outter SE garison gate they sent some people hit north inner then CD people couldn’t keep themself staying inside inner and started running out after them while we had plenty sige to hold lord room. While they were hunting lures TC Golems has been taken south gate through water gate. then we didnt saw the backstab attack at lord room. We lost not upgraded Garison but fully equiped in sieges inside it (no more supplies either).
Overall we had some epik fails not because of TC but mostly because we always have some that don’t read/follow orders that make some of our moves fail. We could sneak plenty times but always some few people kept attacking gate wall or npc that pop orange map swords meaning come to kill us (as TC outnumberred us we needn’t that kind of help on our side…)
So we finally did what we could and we did it better without commander tag with only few aware of how we proceed.

About the jumping puzzle: i never did it and i never understood a pve zone can stand and polute wvw map. I personnaly hate when people say in chat either come kill some ennemies here or come to help here in jp while our keeps/towers under siege; always made me laugh… People who like wvw never go hunt at jp I see no reason for it, it should be at least a NAP area that intelligent people share or either be removed in non wvw maps.

These complaining about jp are these who are going there I guess. I don’t and I won’t even bother get there. Killing in JP is a fail move that show how sad you can be acting even IRL I guess :p

Well finally I would like to congratulate the commander that took our garison like it have been done like I said before: it s what I like instead of seeing mindless zergs but well golems are probably an issue that will be looking at soon or later making any keep paperlike ^^ even fully upgraded.

In conclusion I get plenty badges still but really not from defending or attacking any tower/keep today… And I hate to manage any attack when I know that on my OWN side there is ALWAYS some who don’t follow/read the orders and that lead us into some epic fails.

For sure that was a great fun week and I bet some learned some things here I did myself and I ll keep it for me.

Last word: When I hear or read shame ram I am thinking some people has nothing else to do than to try to find something useless to “name and build”. I saw such ram in mid’ field and i screamed:“Comon who is the kitten that is building rams in mid fields with garison supplies thats a griefing !” Just pointless and for sure a waste. On my side I have no shame CD reached our score and had to face two opponent. Yak’s are great first because its my homeserver (where i started game and leveled to 80 and also learned wvw so nothing curious YB’s rocks all I know I learned from bests there.) About TC you guys shouldn’t expect some great success in T2 I am afraid, while I wish you to succeed, unfortunately that will probably be a hard time for you in T2…
I ll enjoy my T4 week. Like I said already some plays for fun some plays for win. I am from these that do it for fun and I don’t feel the same way like some other that post here.

What I love from wvw is to stack packs of 250 badges in my inventory^^. The scoreboard is really not my point but it’s nice for all server to win it makes them come to war more often^^.

In conclusion: do like me, take the only best of wvw and avoid any other comment that would try to turn people angry. Everyone is playing and liking the same game being in contest doesnt mean to be respectless. YB’s and TC earn mine for the overall week but these not in that game spirit are just winning an ignore :p.

If you find the jumping puzzle is camped, leave and try again in a couple hours or the next day. If you give the campers nothing to do, they will leave. Nobody does WvW to stand around and do nothing. If you let your frustration get the better of you, you’re in for a long night.

Calling the jumping puzzle in EB a PvE maze is laughably inaccurate. There are players in there, they will kill you, and yes it’s fun. Stop pretending that it’s not PvP if you can’t PvDoor. I’m grateful there is something to break up the flow of WvW every now and then.

YB here. Great fight so far this week everyone. I see all these posts about people helpin each other in the JPs and people ganking in the JPs. My 2 cents…

If you come into a pvp area, expect pvp. It gonna happen. Find enough people to help you battle through or take your chances on your own. If its in a viable pvp area expect pvp to happen spontaneously. You take your chances just like everyone else.

Sure it rotten to get ganked right at the end or something but you put youself there. I probably would wait to kill you myself until after you were done but a lot of people see it as another pvp objective. ANet put these JPs in our pvp areas so I would expect pvp to occur.

Intense ( and fun) fighting tonight in Eternal. Salutes to CD and YB as well as my comrades in arms on TC. My little Asura is sleepy and going for a nap

Trust me, I dislike the fact that we seem to have such a presence there at all….them attacking or not. But it is their playtime, not mine, so they can do as they wish. But to paint a whole server with such a broad stroke is quite disingenuous. The vast majority of us only wish to compete and have a good time.

As is often the case, too many TCers were fighting or standing in pointless places, and we were unable to muster enough people to AoE or countertreb your trebs at OL. We also wasted a lot of supply repairing the outer walls that should have been used to defend the inner gates. We also retreated to the lord room instead of defending the inner gates. I think you get the picture >.>

I encourage you to keep trebbing SM every single time TC possesses it – it’s the only way we’ll eventually learn how to respond. ^^

Just feels like, as good as this week was, it could have been better if…
A. CD wasn’t so outnumbered
B. Yaks cared more about first than pushing CD down a tier
C. Jumping Puzzles weren’t in the WvW zones at all

The people joking about getting CD into T4 were mostly from TC, actually – I recognize most of the names. Not the most appropriate joke, but a joke nonetheless. I was the person who made the Exterminate Crystal Desert guild.

We can all agree that the jumping puzzles probably shouldn’t exist in WvW, though. People kitten and whine about people camping it for badges, but really the fact remains WvW is rarely so sleepy as to warrant PvE/nviroment.

Right, blatant cheating from a CD Ranger whose account name is The Darkness.2371, we found him firing his speargun at us and causing damage from under the ground in Molevekian Delve, he was also attempting to flip moles with complete impunity from below ground. Attached is an SS of him targeted through the ground whilst his speargun is firing which also shows his Guild tag – sort this guy out!

I see no problems there for he is a God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals.

If anything, there should be MORE PvE in WvWvW.

Seriously what’s with these level 80 doe everywhere? It’s a battleground! You don’t find deer on a battleground. It takes away from the sense of immersion! Only very powerful monsters would stick around.

So i have some simple suggestions for ANET:

1. Replace all doe with champion icebrood wolves
2. Replace all critters with giganticus lupicus

Awe poor crystal desert boo hoo when I was in EB earlier you didn’t have a lot claimed. If YB does poorly this week it will be worth it if the crystal desert ends up last.
